    摘要: A process is disclosed for producing powdery polycarbonate from a polycarbonate solution which comprises:(a) charging the solution into the feed opening of a disolvating apparatus, the apparatus being composed of a casing and having at least two screws incorporated therein, the screws meshing with each other; the apparatus comprising two parts; a evaporating zone and a powdering zone; a space being provided above the screws in the evaporating zone, the space extending in the axial direction of the screws and having at least one degassing opening, and side and bottom portions of screws generally fitting with the casing in the evaporating zone; top, side and bottom portions of screws generally fitting with the casing in the powdering zone, heating means being installed in the casing and/or screws;(b) in the evaporating zone, evaporating the solvent of the polycarbonate solution using the heating means while moving the solution by the screws;(c) powdering the dried polycarbonate in the powdering zone; and(d) discharging the powdery polycarbonate from the product exit in the powdering zone.

    摘要: Scrap photographic film comprising at least a four component system involving a polyalkyleneterephthalate film base, an adhesive or subbing layer utilizing a terpolymer consisting chiefly of polyvinylidenechloride and a gelatin layer containing metallic silver or a compound thereof and a variety of contaminants such as causal dirt, dyes and the like is broken down for recovery of the valuable constituents therein including the silver, the polyvinylidenechloride terpolymer, and the polyesters by treating the chopped photographic film at an elevated temperature with a solvent for both the polyester and polyvinylidenechloride values in which solvent both the gelatin and silver values are insoluble, under conditions chosen to insure the quantitative recovery of the silver values.

    摘要: This invention comprises a method of preparing films and coatings of aromatic-heterocyclic ladder polymers. These polymers are insoluble in solvents from which films might be cast by the ordinary technique of coating a surface with a solution of a polymer and allowing the solvent to evaporate therefrom. Since the only solvents known for such ladder polymers are sulfuric acid and methane sulfonic acid, it is not possible to use the ordinary technique of laying film by the solvent evaporation process because of the high boiling points and high temperatures thereby required. Furthermore, the surface to be coated may be susceptible to attack by such corrosive solvents. According to the present invention it has been found that films and coatings of the ladder polymers can be formed by using a fine dispersion of the ladder polymer in a nonsolvent, such as alcohol or an easily evaporated hydrocarbon. A relatively smooth, strong film can be prepared by collecting the particles from the dispersion either by filtration on a porous surface such as fritted glass or by drawing a metal surface through the dispersion and allowing the dispersion medium to evaporate from the wetted metal surface and thereby deposit the dispersed polymer particles thereon.
