    摘要: A connector for a wall structure wherein the connector connects to and reinforces a stud within the wall structure, or in some cases, the connector actually functions as a stud. The connector includes an elongated web and a pair of flanges that project from the web. About the lower portion of the connector there is provided a series of tabs that extend from the web and the two flanges and are turned so as to overlap and form a transfer structure that extends between the flanges about the lower end of the connector. In use, the connector can be connected to respective studs in a wall structure and at the same time anchor to an underlying structure such as a floor. In other cases, the connector itself can be utilized in the wall structure as a stud.

    摘要: A system for subdividing a building space into work areas includes interconnectable partition panels, each having an internal frame with a plurality of horizontal frame members located at predetermined heights. The horizontal frame members each have at least one horizontal row of slots, and at least one of the horizontal frame members is located slightly above an optimal worksurface height for supporting an interactively used datum shelf. Furniture components are attachable to the horizontal frame members at selected horizontal positions, including the datum shelf, an undershelf storage unit and an upper storage unit. A mobile furniture unit is provided having a worksurface located at an optimal worksurface height, the worksurface having a cantilevered edge section that can be extended partially under the datum shelf at a selected optimal depth for coordinated and efficient use of the datum shelf concurrent with using the worksurface. The furniture construction is constructed to maximize floor space and storage within an office area or work area while maintaining a minimum footprint. Further, the furniture construction allows user reconfiguration, and provides for maximum work efficiency and adaptability. Also, the work area defined by the instant construction is noticeably open and spacious, even where the actual work area size is less than traditional office sizes, such as where the work area size is equal to or less than 6 feet by 6 feet.

    摘要: An examination unit which is particularly suitable as an ophthalmologic examination unit for the examination of a patient by an ophthalmologist, comprises a storage region for an examination apparatus, wherein the storage region is defined by a wall, and an opening in the wall for passing the examination apparatus therethrough from the storage region. In order to ensure an easy transfer of the examination unit to the patient a support frame is provided in the storage region having a pivot bearing with a pivot axis. A swivel arm is pivotable around the pivot axis from a rest position in which the swivel arm is positioned within the storage region, into an operating position in which the swivel arm has the free end thereof laterally swung out of the storage region through the opening. Furthermore, the examination apparatus is suspended at the free end of the swivel arm.
