    摘要: The steerable wheels of a hydraulically driven vehicle are provided with auxiliary motors which are connected in parallel both with each other and with the motor which powers the main drive wheels. A selector valve permits the motors for the steerable wheels to be optionally connected and disconnected from the reversible, variable displacement main pump. Flow dividers in the hydraulic lines limit the maximum flow of fluid to any one hydraulic motor. The auxiliary motors are of the variable displacement type, enabling them to be destroked to neutral when disconnected from the main pump. Destroking to neutral eliminates energy loss due to the pumping of large quantities of hydraulic fluid through a closed loop when the motors are driven by the wheels.

    摘要: An improved pneumatic operating mechanism construction is provided including the usual stationary operating cylinder with a movable reciprocally-operable driving piston member movable therewithin, and having an extremely-fast pneumatic valve-device cooperable with a movable valve-sealing member attached to, and carried by, the driving side of the movable driving piston. Additionally, a valve-piston bore is provided internally within the stationary valve-housing member, within which reciprocally pneumatically operates the movable valve piston.An exhaust-port opening is provided being pneumatically communicating to the region interposed between the movable valve piston and the movable valve-sealing member, which is carried by the movable driving piston. The result is an extremely-fast valve action providing for high-pressure operating fluid, such as compressed air, for example, to be provided to the driving face of the movable driving piston.The return movement of the movable driving piston may be effected either by a return spring means, which is charged during the driving stroke of the movable driving piston, or, alternatively, by pneumatic means, if desired, providing high-pressure gas, for example, to the opposite non-driving face of the movable driving piston.

A regulating valve is located in the first conduit and the second conduit is connected by a cross-conduit to the first conduit at a point upstream of the regulating valve therein. A bypass circuit in which a valve controlled by the fluid pressure in the second conduit is located leads from the second conduit to the inlet of the first pump so that when none of the additional consumers is actuated only a very small fluid stream passes through the second conduit and the multiple position valves to thereby reduce the energy losses.

    摘要: A feathering valve system for modulating the fluid inflow to a selected one of first and second chambers of a movable biased assembly. A controller is electrically coupled to a first and second solenoid operated pilot valve assemblies for selectively (1) maintaining the pilot valve assemblies in a valve closed state without bleed flow through the pilot orifices or (2) supplying a predetermined value electrical signal to either, but not both, of the valve assemblies for actuating one of the assemblies to an open position related to the value of the signal. Fluid under a substantially constant pilot pressure is applied under the poppets of both valve assemblies. Fluid flow is taken from above the poppet of an actuated valve assembly to a respective chamber whereby the movable assembly moves to a position which is a function of the actuating signal value.
