摘要: A comparative sizing method in which at least one well-fitting source item is received having at least one source item property associated therewith and a target item having at least one associated target item property for which a resultant comparative sizing recommendation is being requested based on the at least one source item as specified by its at least one source item property associated therewith. Each source item and the target item is correlated with each database item having associated database item properties in a database based on source-database item matches and target database item matches. The resultant comparative sizing recommendation is determined based on the correlated source-database item matches and target-database item matches.

摘要: A system and method for providing access to a communication network includes providing a radio node comprising a first set of access point components including a radio component, and providing a physically separated controller node in communication with the radio node. The access point controller comprises a second set of access point components distinct from the first set of access point components, creating a distributed access point. A system controller may also be used to control at least one of the radio node and the controller node. The radio node, the controller node, and the system controller communicate over a communication link, such as a wireless or wired link.

摘要: Iconic images for a given object or object category may be identified in a set of candidate images by using a learned probabilistic composition model to divide each candidate image into a most probable rectangular object region and a background region, ranking the candidate images according to the maximal composition score of each image, removing non-discriminative images from the candidate images, clustering highest-ranked candidate images to form clusters, wherein each cluster includes images having similar object regions according to a feature match score, selecting a representative image from each cluster as an iconic image of the object category, and causing display of the iconic image. The composition model may be a Naïve Bayes model that computes composition scores based on appearance cues such as hue, saturation, focus, and texture. Iconic images depict an object or category as a relatively large object centered on a clean or uncluttered contrasting background.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method to construct eukaryotic cells having a target sequence in a chromosomal DNA sequence replaced by a replacement sequence of interest comprising: modifying a parent eukaryotic cell with a preference for NHR to provide a eukaryotic cell having an increased HR/NHR ratio as compared to the parent cell, providing two sets of DNA molecules of which the first set comprises DNA molecules each comprising a first non-functional fragment of the replacement sequence of interest flanked at its 5′-side by a DNA sequence substantially homologous to a sequence of the chromosomal DNA flanking the target sequence and the second set comprises DNA molecules each comprising a second non-functional fragment of the DNA replacement sequence of interest overlapping with the first non-functional fragment and flanked at its 3′-side by a DNA sequence substantially homologous to a sequence of the chromosomal DNA flanking the target sequence, wherein the first and second non-functional fragments become functional upon recombination; transforming the modified eukaryotic cells with both sets of DNA molecules; and growing the cells to obtain transformed progeny cells having a DNA molecule from the first set recombined with a DNA molecule from the second set into a DNA molecule comprising a functional replacement sequence and having the target sequence replaced by the functional replacement sequence.
