    Abstract: A multilayer coating comprising (A) a multicoat paint system comprising (A1) at least one basecoat of a basecoat material comprising at least one melamine resin, and (A2) at least one clearcoat as the topmost coat of the multicoat paint system, and (B) an adhesive layer of a moisture-curing, isocyanate-based adhesive directly atop the topmost clearcoat layer of the multicoat paint system, wherein (i) all amino resins present in the basecoat material are fully methylolated, fully etherified melamine resins in which at least 90% of the etherified methylol groups are etherified with butanol, and (ii) the basecoat material contains at least 1.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the basecoat material, of at least one polyester binder having a hydroxyl number of at least 240 mg KOH/g and an acid number of not more than 10 mg KOH/g, and also a corresponding basecoat material and method of producing, and use of, the multilayer coating for adhesively bonding glass sheets.
