Abstract:
Cementitious formulations and their products with enhanced reactivity are provided. Formulations in certain embodiments may include at least one calcium source, a reactant and a filler in a hydrated environment, wherein the reactant, in one form, is crystalline silica that has been modified for reactivity. Enhancement of a reactant may include one or more modifications to its content, grind and/or the cement to silica ratio, as well as addition of one or more additives in the formulation, additives in the form of at least one alumina source, defoamer, catalyst and/or a clay.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device and the method thereof are disclosed. The wireless communication device in accordance with the present invention includes an integrated protocol layer supporting a first communication protocol and a second communication protocol; a single transceiver operative to transmit and receive signals of said first and said second communication protocols.
Abstract:
A durable, nailable, lightweight and fire resistant fiber cement article that can be a cost-effective substitute for conventional building materials is provided. The fiber cement article can be profiled to resemble a roofing article such as a wood shake or slate. The fiber cement article incorporates a hydrophobe and a viscosity enhancing agent that are each selected to control the rate of hydration of the binder. The fiber cement article is durable, is walkable and nailable without cracking during installation and maintains walkablilty after exposure in service.

Abstract:
An improved sense amplifier for RAM arrays is provided which reduces read operation access times, reduces static power consumption and reduces used silicon area. The improved sense amplifier includes an equalizing operation that brings the voltages on the output lines to a midpoint voltage prior to performing a read operation. By providing a midpoint voltage on the output lines, neither output line needs to transition a full rail from Vss to Vcc or vice versa during the amplifying operation, decreasing the amount of time required to read the memory cells.
Abstract:
A variable capacitor for integrated circuits used as a decoupling capacitor that operates at both low and high frequencies is disclosed. Based upon a programmable input signal, the decoupling capacitance of the circuit varies within a specific range providing a vehicle for testing decoupling capacitance requirements of new integrated circuits and functions and new silicon processes. The programmable input signal switches a transistor from the saturated region of operation to the unsaturated region of operation, varying the decoupling capacitance of the transistor. By providing circuitry to control the switching of the transistor, the circuit operates at both low and high frequencies, reducing the negative impacts of transistor channel resistance during high frequency operation.
Abstract:
Described herein is a monolithic cementitious article with one or more pre-formed shaped regions. The shaped regions are generally channels that extend through a portion of the article or span the full article. The article includes one or more openings at least one of its ends. The article has a low apparent density with a high strength as well as high performance characteristics. The article when manufactured is suitable for use as a building product, such as siding, panel, trim, fascia, roofing, crown molding, decking, and fencing.
