Abstract:
A multi-part piston for a brake saddle of a hydraulically and/or mechanically and/or electromechanically actuated disk brake is described herein. The piston is a pot open on one side and including a base and a wall attached thereto in one piece. The base can be impinged by brake pressure coming from the inside of the pot so that an outward-facing abutting surface of the base can be pressed against a brake lining. The inside of the pot receives at least one pressure piece associated with a parking brake mechanism. For simplified manufacture in the form of a modular piston system for use in various applications, it is proposed that the pressure piece and the base comprise conical surfaces facing one another for transferring braking pressure.
Abstract:
A logic chip has a plurality of individually addressable resource blocks each of the resource blocks having logic circuitry, and a communication bar extending across a plurality of the individually addressable resource blocks. The communication bar has a plurality of communication bar segments associated with the resource slots. The communication bar segments of the individually addressable resource blocks have identical interface locations with respect to boundaries of the resource blocks, such that an input interface location of a first resource block matches an output interface location of an adjacent second resource block. At least one of the individually addressable resource blocks has a bypass segment of the communication bar. At least one of the individually addressable resource blocks has an access segment of the communication bar. The access segment has an access structure inserted between a first communication bar interface location and a second communication bar interface location, to allow for a read access or a write access or a combined read/write access to the communication bar.
Abstract:
A combined vehicle brake including a hydraulically actuated service brake and an electromechanically actuated parking brake device, a hydraulic operating pressure chamber in a brake housing being defined by a brake piston, which for performing service braking actions can be acted upon by hydraulic pressure fluid, so that the brake piston can be actuated along a piston longitudinal axis in order to produce a braking action, and the parking brake device acting on the brake piston by way of a transmission that translates the rotary motion of an electromechanical actuator into a translational motion and actuates the brake piston to perform parking brake actions and to keep it in the actuated position. Also disclosed is a transmission for translating a rotary motion into a translational motion by way of a screw spindle and a spindle nut, which are in contact with one another by way of multiple rolling elements.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing unsupported metal lattice structures, such as nickel lattices for use as micro-flow sensors in gas analysis devices, employs the steps of two-sided vacuum metallization on a substrate, several photoresist steps, an electroplating step, and an etching step. A number of units can be produced by this method on a single substrate.
Abstract:
A process for producing a thin metal structure with a self-supporting frame, such as a grid, characterized by forming a galvanic resistant coating on a first surface of a carrier member with the coating exposing portions of the first surface adjacent the end of the carrier member and portions of the first surface in the configuration of the metal structure to be formed, depositing a layer of metal on the exposed portion of the first surface, removing the galvanic resistant coating, applying an etch resistant coating on the edges of thecarrier member and at least a portion of a second surface adjacent the edges of the carrier member and then selectively etching the carrier member to remove the carrier member except for that portion protected by the etch resistant coating to form the thin metal structure mounted on a self-supporting frame. The carrier member may either be a single member or a multi-layer member which has a metal coating forming the first surface. The process when using a multi-layer includes providing a protective layer on the metal structure and etching away the majority of the carrier member and then subsequently etching the metallic layer and protective layer to produce the metal structure on the frame.
Abstract:
A logic chip has a plurality of individually-addressable resource blocks, each comprising logic circuitry. The logic chip also has a bus comprising a plurality of bus information lines. A first of the resource blocks has a coupling between a first strict sub-set of the bus information lines and the logic circuitry of the first resource block. A second of the resource blocks, which is adjacent to the first resource block, has a coupling between a second strict sub-set of the bus information lines and the logic circuitry of the second resource blocks. The first and second sub-sets have different bus lines.
Abstract:
A piston for a brake caliper of a disc brake constructed as a pot which is open at one end, having a longitudinal axis, a wall, and a piston head. The piston is supported in a cylinder of the brake caliper such that it can be moved along the longitudinal direction, and it can be placed against a brake pad in the region of the piston head by an axial contact surface. When the piston is subjected to pressure by a hydraulic fluid, the piston moves in the cylinder and presses the brake pad against a brake disc. A projection having a conical surface is provided on an inner surface of the piston head. A recess is provided, which is substantially at the same distance from the longitudinal axis as the projection on the inner surface of the piston head, on an outer surface of the piston head.

Abstract:
A host computer with a FPGA is communicatively coupled to a configuration computer via a communication network. The host computer receives target configuration data from the configuration computer in encrypted form. A scanner module that is associated with the host computer decrypts the target configuration data and scans it for malicious code. The module writes the target configuration data to the fabric area of the FPGA and thereby configures the FPGA accordingly, to enable execution of a target array application. The scanner module is associated with the host computer by being implemented as trusted execution environment, or as an on-array-processor.
