Abstract: Provided is a flexible and self-supporting insulating film including a base support layer and a partially cured poly(amide)imide layer applied to the base support layer. The composite insulating film may be used as slot liner to provide insulation to the components of the electric motor. The partially cured poly(amide)imide layer of the composite insulation film maybe further cured by the heat generated by the operation of the electric motor.

Abstract: A polymerization initiator system for reactive monomers and unsaturated polymers which is contains a Group 4 transition metal or Group 4 transition metal-containing compound, peroxide or diazo compound that is capable of being reduced by the Group 4 transition metal or Group 4 transition metal-containing compound, and pinacol compound is disclosed. Further disclosed are methods for preparing the polymerization initiator and using the polymerization initiator for low temperature curing.

Abstract: A multi-part polyurethane composition is composed of a first part comprising a polyurethane prepolymer composition and a second part comprising a polyol having a hydroxyl functionality of 4 to 6, and a desiccant. The composition further comprises a plasticizer, wherein the plasticizer can be present in any one or more of the parts. A polyurethane is formed by mixing and curing the composition. The composition can be used as an adhesive for separatory devices, in particular for potting hollow fibers.

Abstract: Electrical circuit assemblies flood coated with polymeric flood coat compositions as described or exemplified herein are provided. The flood coat composition is characterized as having a sufficient gel time and thixotropic index as to substantially cover or encapsulate the electrical circuit assembly as a fixed mass upon cure such that the thickness of the polymeric coating on surfaces horizontal to the assembly is from 20 mils to 75 mils, and the thickness on surfaces vertical to the assembly is from 4 mils to 20 mils. Such flood coated assemblies and devices containing same are advantageous over conventional potting materials or conformal coatings because they require less material thereby reducing weight and cost, and they are able to withstand extreme environmental stresses such as from temperature and/or vibrations.
