    摘要: The present invention involves an exhaust gas catalyst and method of manufacturing same. The invention provides for a cost-effective material which lowers the cold-start emissions from the exhaust of vehicles. The invention is a passive system which accelerates the light-off temperature of catalyst in a cost-effective fashion. The invention includes a method of manufacturing an exhaust gas catalyst capable of lowering cold-start emissions including the steps of providing an oxide mixture having praseodymium and cerium, doping about 0-10% weight zirconium and about 0-10% weight yttrium to the oxide mixture, adding about 0-2% weight metal including palladium, platinum, or rhodium to the oxide mixture, mixing gamma aluminum to the oxide mixture for washcoating and washcoating the oxide mixture onto a monolithic substrate.

    摘要: This invention describes resin products having particular utility as rapid curing adhesives for wood and other materials, and processes for making the resin compositions. The reaction products are made by reacting an aldehyde condensation polymer, such as a phenol-formaldehyde condensation polymer, with a primary aromatic amine having the formula: ##SPC1##WhereX.sub.1 is --NH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 ;X.sub.2 is --X.sub.1 --OH--alkoxy;X.sub.3 is -X.sub.1 COOH NHCOCH.sub.3 NO.sub.2 OH C.sub.1 to C.sub.5 alkyl H -halogen halogenated alkyl alkoxy X.sub.4 is C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, --H--aryl; andA is ##EQU1## where Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 are hydrogen or alkyl radicals having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and Z is an integer from 0 to 2,--SO.sub.2 ----NH----O----S---- C----S--S----N=N--, to obtain an amine-modified polymer. On blending an appropriate hardening agent with the amine-modified polymer, the composition cures very rapidly at ambient temperature. When pieces of wood or other materials are spread with the preferred adhesives employing the resin compositions of this invention and brought into contact with another wood or other surface the bond strength develops within minutes.

    摘要: In one aspect the invention discloses an improved gas burner with a high turn-down ratio. The improved burner includes first and second gas flow passages, a flame front locator in one of the passages of the burner cap. Fuel gas is injected into an end of one of the passages and is ignited to establish a flame at the flame front locator. Secondary combustion air is provided through the other of the passages which on a high setting enables secondary combustion and on a low setting may mix with the hot gases and cool them resulting in a lower temperature at the cooking vessel.
