    摘要: An insert clamp secures a cutting insert having a central hole to a tool holder. The clamp includes a forward protrusion to be received in the central hole of the insert, a central body portion provided with a pressing part to press down the upper surface of the insert and a screw hole for a clamping screw to pass through, and a rear protrusion having a rear contact surface to come in contact with a rearward slanting surface of the tool holder. The forward protrusion is formed on the forward end of the insert clamp, an inside surface of the forward protrusion extends downward in a spaced state apart from the inner wall of the central hole of the insert, and a distal portion of the inside surface the forward protrusion is provided with a protuberance of convex curved surface to come in tangential contact with the inner wall of the insert. The pressing part is formed on the bottom surface of the central body portion of the insert clamp, and has convex curved surfaces to come in tangential contact with the upper surface of the insert on both regions of the bottom surface of the central body portion which is bisected by a central line passing through the forward protrusion and the screw hole.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a cutting tool capable of both drilling and internal/external turning. The cutting tool comprises a generally triangular-shaped cutting insert and a tool holder. On each side, the triangular-shaped cutting insert forms a major cutting edge and a minor cutting edge, which is shorter than said major cutting edge. Two adjacent major cutting edges form an angle of 60° therebetween, while adjacent major and minor cutting edges intersecting at a corner of the triangular shape of the cutting insert form an angle of 80 to 89° therebetween. The cutting insert is mounted in a pocket so that one of the major cutting edges of the cutting insert is projected in an axially forward direction of the tool holder, while the minor cutting edge on the side adjacent to the projected major cutting edge is projected in a radially outward direction of the tool holder.

    摘要: A cutting insert for a machining tool has a structure capable of effectively controlling chips generated on a work-piece. The cutting insert includes an upper surface, a lower surface, a plurality of side surfaces connecting the upper surface and the lower surface and a central hole formed at a central portion thereof. In the cutting insert, a seating surface is formed on a highest portion of the upper surface, a plurality of side cutting edge portions are formed at border portions of the upper surface and the side surfaces. Each side cutting edge portion has a side cutting edge formed at an upper end thereof and a corner cutting edge portion is formed at an intersection of two adjacent side cutting edge portions. The corner cutting edge portion has a cutting edge formed at a front end thereof, a land portion, a downward inclined surface, a corner bottom surface, a first upward inclined surface, a first protrusion, a second upward inclined surface, a second protrusion, an upward grooved surface and the seating surface sequentially formed along a diagonal line directed from the corner cutting edge toward the central hole. The corner bottom surface has the smallest height along the diagonal line.

    摘要: A ferroelectric recording medium and a writing method for the same are provided. The ferroelectric recording medium includes a ferroelectric layer which reverses its polarization when receiving a predetermined coercive voltage. A nonvolatile anisotrophic conduction layer is formed on the ferroelectric layer. A resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer decreases when receiving a first voltage lower than the coercive voltage, and the resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer increases when receiving a second voltage higher than the coercive voltage. Multi-bit information is stored by a combination of polarization states of the ferroelectric layer and the resistance of the anisotrophic conduction layer. Accordingly, multiple bits can be expressed on one domain of the ferroelectric recording medium.
