Abstract:
Productivity and efficiency may be improved by eliminating or reducing interruptions by providing indications of availability for individuals where are based on a current activity in which the individual is employed. Current activity may be set manually be the individual or automatically, for example by monitoring applications and/or electronic devices with which the individual interacts. Indicator may be positioned on or proximate desktops, doors or sent electronically to computers and communication devices. Relationships between availability and activities may be set by the individual and/or a system administrator. Electronic communication may be suppressed based on the current activity. Relationships between activities or availability and the type of electronic communication suppressed or originator of the communication may be set by the individual and/or system administrator.
Abstract:
In accordance with an example, an apparatus is for any one of a chargeable electrical device and an electrical device each. The chargeable electrical device and/or and the electrical device are each configured to be plugged into, and to receive power from, an electrical grid. The electrical grid is configured to provide electrical energy in accordance with any one of the electrical energy pricing and electricity availability. The apparatus includes (and is not limited to) a combination of the first control unit and the second control unit.
Abstract:
A method, system and scheme are presented that provide a means of establishing secure and reliable two-way authentication with online service providers (“Providers”) using a hardware device. The account holders (“Users”) use a unique hardware device (“Hardware Device”), which is plugged into the communication technology, such as computer, being used to access online accounts. The device is used for storing cryptographic algorithms and keys that are capable of performing hashing, encryption and decryption operations. The device is periodically refreshed with new keys, which cannot be read or duplicated by the User.
Abstract:
Information related to art is provided in networked computing environments wherein users can participate in public or private online interactive video conferences, chat rooms and other online sessions led by art galleries or art gallery affiliates. User's may switch between public sessions and private sessions when ready to make a transaction related to an art object or artist presented in a public session. In private online sessions, potential consumers may also electronically provide the art gallery pictures, diagrams and photographs of an area in which they are interested in placing certain art objects. An image of the art object is shown within the picture to scale with other objects such as a wall, and angle of view. Users may also see the art objects to scale next to other stock images of familiar reference objects during the online session.
Abstract:
A homogenizer apparatus and method for homogenizing are provided for breaking up a solid sample in a container. The container has an impactor freely movable therein. The impactor has a magnetic field associated therewith. The homogenizer apparatus includes a magnetic field generator which produces an alternating magnetic field and a container holder adapted to maintain the container in a position in which it is subjected to the alternating magnetic field of the magnetic field generator. The alternating magnetic field causes movement of the impactor within the container to repeatedly force the impactor against the sample.
Abstract:
Methods and systems of controlling transport of film are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of controlling a supply platter motor in a no-rewind film transport system, comprises receiving take-up platter control signal information from a take-up platter controller, processing the take-up platter control signal information, and controlling the supply platter motor based at least in part on the processed take-up platter control signal information.
Abstract:
Described herein are embodiments of a system and a device for performing remote ischemic conditioning that may be configured to treat a subject in accordance with particular usage restrictions and/or a particular treatment protocol. More particularly, in some embodiments a RIC device may include at least two parts, an inflatable cuff to fit around a limb of a subject and a controller that operates the inflatable cuff to inflate and deflate and thus alternate between ischemia and reperfusion of the limb in accordance with a treatment protocol. The inflatable cuff may include a computer-readable storage and that storage may include usage restrictions and/or configuration settings for the controller, to configure the controller to operate the inflatable cuff in accordance with the usage restrictions and to perform a particular treatment protocol when operating the inflatable cuff.

Abstract:
A system for communication in context of content, the system comprising an interaction data receiver, implemented on a server computer and configured to receive data indicating occurrence of an interaction of a visitor with a content item presented on a computer remote from the server computer, and a communication method selector, in communication with the interaction data receiver, configured to select at least one owner among a group of owners pre-assigned to the content item and a communication method among a group of communication methods pre-defined for the selected owner, for dynamically connecting the visitor and the selected owner, using the received data and according to a pre-defined selection criterion.
Abstract:
First and second parties may be authenticated. After generating a challenge to the first party, two responses are received via the first party based on the challenge and two different keys. Two responses are also generated, and compared against the received responses. If the respective responses are verified, a confirmation is generated.
