    摘要: A peritoneal dialysis system includes a disposable cassette including a flexible sheet; a hardware unit including (i) at least one pump actuator and piston head moved by the pump actuator, (ii) at least one valve actuator, (iii) at least one sensor, and (iv) a disposable cassette interface for interfacing with the disposable cassette, the disposable cassette interface including: (a) at least one pump aperture, the at least one piston head moveable out of and retractable into the at least one pump aperture to move a corresponding pumping portion of the flexible sheet of the disposable cassette, the piston head moving within a vacuum chamber, the vacuum chamber enabling a vacuum to be pulled around the piston head to the flexible sheet of the disposable cassette; (b) at least one valve aperture, at least a portion of the at least one valve actuator located in the valve aperture to move a valve portion of the flexible sheet of the disposable cassette; and (c) at least one sensor aperture, the at least one sensor located in the at least one sensor aperture, the at least one sensor operable with a sensor portion of the flexible sheet of the disposable cassette.

    摘要: A quick-release ratcheting mechanism for a weight lifting bar system. The present invention utilizes a ratcheting device in conjunction with ratchet teeth which are located on the inside surface of an aperture of individual weight components. As such, when the individual weight components are placed onto the present invention, the present invention ratcheting system engages the weight component teeth, subsequently creating a fixed and secure engagement. If the user desires to remove the individual weight component, a quick-release handle disengages the ratchet mechanism and allows free removal of an individual weight component. As a further feature the present invention, the preferred embodiment incorporates a unique passive interlocking means between each adjacently placed individual weight component and a unique geometric configuration which enhances the stability of the present invention.

    摘要: A contactless linear position sensor, or potentiometer, which has a linear output characteristic, is constructed with a pair of elongated, hollow cylindrical tubes which are made of magnetically saturable material and are aligned so that their axes form an angle of less than 180.degree., with both of said tubes having at least one conductive wire coupled therewith which is interconnected with the wire that is coupled with the other tube, and a moveable permanent magnet which is formed as a segment of a circular ring with a pair of straight sides that move adjacent to the tubes so that the total volume of the tubes that is magnetically saturated remains substantially constant while the inductance ratio of the tubes varies. The present invention is directed to a version of this type of contactless device which has improved temperature performance that is achieved by the use of a magnetically permeable pole piece positioned adjacent the moving magnet which is substantially the same shape as the magnet and the magnetically permeable flux enhancer which is positioned so that the tubes are located intermediate the flux enhancer and the moveable magnet.

    摘要: Flow controllers are provided for interconnecting a fluid source to two separate collection zones. The flow controllers include a body having a fluid inlet communicating with the source and two fluid outlets, each communicating with one of the collection zones. An actuator member received within a cavity of the body includes first and second flow paths. In a first position, the first flow path is aligned with the fluid inlet of the body to allow fluid communication with one of the fluid outlets and the associated collection zone. The actuator member is non-rotationally moved to a second position within the cavity to align the second flow path with the fluid inlet of the body, thereby halting flow through the first flow path and allowing fluid communication with the other collection zone. An optional safety feature prevents movement of the actuator member from the second position to the first position.
