A cell of transparent fluid including particles charged to have different polarities from each other is arranged between a pixel electrode and a common electrode. The first and second transistors are connected to the pixel electrode. The pixel is drivable according to pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) and pulse width modulation (PWM) such that a frame of an image is displayable using a single field.

The encoding method includes: deciding whether pixel values of a first block of an image are identical to pixel values of a second block of the image that is encoded prior to the first block in a current slice of the image, and determining whether to encode the first block in a first mode according to the deciding; and selectively encoding the first block in the first mode based on the determining, wherein the first mode is a mode for encoding information representing that the first block is encoded in the first mode, instead of encoding the pixel values of the first block, when the first block is identical or similar to the second block.

The image forming apparatus includes at least one photosensitive member, a plurality of developing units to supply developer to the at least one photosensitive member so as to form a visible image, and a transfer belt to transfer the visible image formed on the at least one photosensitive member to a printing medium, an inner surface of the transfer belt being rotatably supported by at least two rollers. The image forming apparatus further includes at least one sensor to sense a mark formed on the transfer belt, and a supporting unit to support the transfer belt at a position corresponding to the at least one sensor so as to apply a tensile force to the transfer belt. The supporting unit includes a first supporting portion and a second supporting portion arranged to support the transfer belt at different two positions in a rotating direction of the transfer belt.

摘要： A polymerized toner is provided. The polymerized toner comprises a reactive anionic surfactant having at least one reactive functional group. The reactive anionic surfactant is added simultaneously with a dispersant to prepare an aqueous dispersion or is added within 2 hour after a polymerization reaction of a monomer mixture is initiated in an aqueous dispersion. This simultaneous or rapid addition allows the reactive anionic surfactant to be dispersed on the surface of the toner particles. The reactive anionic surfactant is located over the entire surface of the toner particles to increase the surface charge density of the toner, achieving good charge stability and excellent imaging characteristics.
