    摘要: Provided is a flame-retardant resin composition that can achieve both mechanical properties and flame retardancy and satisfy stringent heat resistance requirement such as heat resistance with a conductor attached, and an insulated wire, a flat cable, and a molded article made using the flame-retardant resin composition. The flame-retardant resin composition contains a thermoplastic resin, a polyfunctional monomer, and an organic phosphorus-based flame retardant. The thermoplastic resin contains 5% by mass or more of a resin having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond or a resin having a carbonyl group relative to the entire thermoplastic resin. The organic phosphorus-based flame retardant is at least one selected from the group consisting of a metal phosphinate, a melamine phosphate compound, an ammonium phosphate compound, and a polyphosphazene compound obtained by ring-opening polymerization of cyclophosphazene. The content of the organic phosphorus-based flame retardant is 5 to 100 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin and the content of the polyfunctional monomer is 1 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin.

The buffered optical fiber of the invention is provided with a second coating layer on an outer peripheral surface of an optical fiber produced by providing a first coating layer on an outer peripheral surface of a glass fiber. A second resin composition constituting the second coating layer comprises 100 to 250 weight parts of metal hydroxide and 10 to 100 weight parts of a nitrogen-based flame retardant material per 100 weight parts of the base polymer. Further, the second resin composition does not contain halogenated materials.

Insulated wire, tube, heat-shrinkable tube and flat cable having excellent mechanical strength and flame retardance without generating any harmful gas, when burning, are provided.     摘要: The present invention relates to an electric wire having a conductor and a covering layer covering the conductor. The electric wire is inserted under pressure between two contact portions of a terminal of an insulation displacement connector to electrically connect to the terminal. In the present invention, the covering layer is made of a covering material obtained by irradiating with ionizing radiation a resin composition containing an ethylene copolymer and a metal hydroxide surface-treated with a predetermined silane compound. The 100% tensile modulus of the covering material is 7.8 MPa or more. The 100% tensile modulus and elongation satisfy E1>270−8.5×10−6×Y (where E1 is the elongation and Y is the 100% tensile modulus). In this case, removal of the electric wire once mounted in the insulation displacement connector can be prevented, and exposure of the conductor in the electric wire in inserting the electric wire under pressure between two contact portions of the terminal of the insulation displacement connector can be sufficiently prevented.
