    摘要: A transparent ceramic composite armor is made of a crystalline transparent ceramic material and an amorphous glass phase material. The armor includes a first portion containing 100 per cent ceramic material; a second portion contiguous and integral with the first portion and containing a combination of the ceramic material and the glass phase material; and a third portion contiguous and integral with the second portion and containing 100 per cent glass phase material. Relative volumetric amounts of the ceramic material and the glass phase material in the second portion are inversely related and a greatest volume percentage of the ceramic material is adjacent the first portion. The volume percentage of the ceramic material in the second portion decreases a direction away from the strike face of the armor, while the volume percentage of the glass phase material increases in the same direction.

The method further includes encoding the access key into one or more of the second subframes; providing the second subframes to the display using a first data transport; the display, decoding the access key and receiving the corresponding first subframes using a second data transport different from the first data transport; and selectively providing the first and second subframes from the first and second data transports to corresponding regions in the image-presentation element of the display, whereby the displayed image has enhanced image quality.

    摘要: A drive circuit for rapidly interleaving image data displayed on an EL device is disclosed. The drive circuit includes a signal source that provides a image data signals. Each image data signal is provided for a specified load period. A multiplexer receives the image data signals, and in response to a selection signal selects one of the image data signals to provide a control signal that directs the EL device to emit light. Additionally, a controller causes interleaving of the image data during multiple display periods; each display period is shorter than the load period.

Another method provides reduced power in an OLED display including a white-emitting layer with three color filters for gamut-defining emitters and two or more additional color filters for three additional within-gamut emitters.
