摘要： A magneto-striction based, passive optical current sensor is provided that is located at high voltage and communicates to ground level via an optical fiber. The optical current sensor includes a ferromagnetic core, a modulator of magnetostrictive material, e.g. Terfenol-D in a preferred embodiment, that responds to the magnetic field, and two or more matched fiber Bragg gratings that convert this response into a wavelength modulated optical signal that is transmitted via an optical fiber to ground level electronics. To linearize the output of the optical current sensor, the optical sensor includes arrangements to provide both mechanical and magnetic bias to the modulator.

摘要： A fuse incorporates a fusible element assembly and an auxiliary fusible element assembly in a solid arc extinguishing material configuration. The fusible element assembly has a first operating characteristic and the auxiliary fusible element has a second operating characteristic different than the first operating characteristic. An installation adapter may be used to adapt a fuse to a non-standard mounting for the fuse. The installation adapter may include first and second adapter members that secure to the fuse to provide contacts having an appropriate spatial relationship to engage the non-standard mounting. A fuse and an installation adapter may be packaged as a kit.

More particularly, the present invention relates to an oral fluid collection swab separate from a lateral flow immunochromatography strip for detecting an analyte in oral fluid, consisting essentially of a sample pad, a conjugate pad, a test zone and control zone pad made of at least one matrix material, wherein the conjugate pad lies downstream of the sample pad, and is striped with a conjugate; the test and control zone pad lies downstream of the conjugate pad, wherein the test zone is immobilized with an specific binding reagent that specifically binding to the target analyte; and the control zone, downstream of the test zone, is immobilized with a second capture reagent. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the strip, a lateral flow immunochromatography method for detecting an analyte in oral fluid by using the strip, and kits containing the strip.

摘要： A current sensor for installation on a conductor without breaking the conductor may include an insulating base having a conductor supporting portion and a conductive coil disposed within an outer surface of the insulating base. A magnetically permeable conductor retaining member includes a portion that passes through the coil and is secured to the insulating base. The retaining member defines a conductor receiving aperture portion with the aperture portion being disposed adjacent the conductor supporting portion of the insulating base. With a conductor positioned within the aperture portion, the conductor is secured by the retaining member to the conductor receiving portion of the insulating base and a substantially continuous permeable path is formed by the conductor retaining member about the conductor.
