    摘要: A phase shifter component is described. Inputs are arranged to selectively receive an inphase component of an in-phase (I) signal or an outphase I signal 180° out of phase with the inphase I signal, and to selectively receive an inphase component of a quadrature-phase (Q) signal or an outphase Q signal 180° out of phase with the inphase Q signal. A first gain portion includes only two transistor elements arranged to amplify the received outphase or inphase I signal. A second gain portion includes only two transistor elements arranged to amplify the received outphase or inphase Q signal. The first and second gain portions are configured to control the gain of the received outphase or inphase I signal and the received outphase or inphase Q signal, respectively, to provide a composite output signal with a desired phase shift between 0° and 360°.

The controller provides a bias current in an amount proportional to an input to a voltage-to-current converter. The controller receives a control signal that directs the controller to apply one of a pre-charge voltage and a nominal voltage to the voltage-to-current converter.

    摘要: According to an exemplary embodiment, a circuit arrangement includes a multi-mode bias circuit having a control voltage input, a mode control input for selecting between a linear mode and a saturation mode, and a bias output. The circuit arrangement further includes an amplifier having a bias input connected to the bias output of the multi-mode bias circuit, the amplifier having an RF input and an RF output. The multi-mode bias circuit causes the amplifier RF output power to be proportional to the RF input power when the mode control input selects the linear mode. Conversely, the multi-mode bias circuit causes the amplifier RF output power to be determined by the voltage at the control voltage input when the mode control input selects the saturation mode.

    摘要: A wireless communication device output amplifier configured to reduce or eliminate out of band oscillations from voltage standing waves generated by antenna impedance mismatch reflection. The amplifier is configured with an input, output, and biasing node. The biasing node is configured to receive a biasing signal from a biasing amplifier. The biasing amplifier draws current from the biasing node while providing the biasing voltage to the output amplifier. To reduce or eliminate out of band voltage standing waves from antenna reflections, a frequency dependant network is provided as a feedback loop to selectively provide feedback to the output amplifier to reduce or eliminate unwanted out of band oscillations, such as voltage standing waves. The frequency dependant network may comprise one or more resistors, inductors, and capacitors which are of small size and may be integrated.
