Abstract:
Provided is an information processing system with which a new function can be added without altering an application program itself. The information processing system includes: a first execution information obtaining unit configured to obtain first execution information which indicates an execution state of a first execution unit configured to execute an application program; an execution information storing unit configured to store the first execution information; and the first execution unit or a second execution unit configured to execute the application program, in which the first execution unit or the second execution unit uses the stored first execution information to execute the application program.
Abstract:
Provided is a technology that enables detection of a change in a feature of a page. An analysis unit identifies a content of a page whose content changes with a lapse of time. A feature change determination unit determines based on contents of the page identified at different timings whether or not a feature of the identified page has changed.
Abstract:
A high density optical disc having a track pitch of 0.85 .mu.m, a shortest pit length of 0.49 .mu.m, a pit depth of 100 nm, and a pit width of 0.35 .mu.m is rotated at a linear velocity of 2.4-2.8 m/s such that the same is optically reproduced by a laser beam having a wavelength of 635 nm which is converged to a spot size of 0.9 .mu.m by an objective lens having a numerical aperture of 0.6. Accordingly, data is read from the optical disc at a transfer rate of 5.6 Mbps.

Abstract:
A content recording medium includes a content recording area where content data is recorded in such a manner that playback of the content data is restricted; and a playback-permission-information recording area where playback-permission information that allows canceling the playback restriction of the content data to permit playback is to be recorded, the playback-permission-information recording area being provided separately from the content recording area.
Abstract:
An optical disc player for reproducing an optical disc having a pit width of 0.2-0.35 .mu.m, a pit depth of 100-120 nm, and a track pitch of 0.7-0.85 .mu.m. The optical disc player includes a semiconductor laser having a wavelength of 590-670 .mu.m and a laser beam projector which projects the laser beam from the laser onto the optical disc with a spot of a predetermined diameter.
Abstract:
An optical pickup device provides ultraresolving prism between a semiconductor laser and an objective lens so as to reduce light intensity at around a cross sectional center of a laser beam, thereby generating ultraresolution thereon. An optical detector is disposed at a signal detecting position where the laser beam reflected by an optical disk is converged. The optical detector has a detecting element for receiving a main lobe and a pair of detecting elements for receiving a pair of side lobes. A peak of a shielding portion of the prism is inclined to a track center of the optical disk so that the side lobes are oppositely shifted from the track center. Thus, tracking error signals are obtained on the basis of detected signals in the side lobes.

Abstract:
A character input device not completely occupying a screen, good in visibility, and enabling input of characters while reducing to a minimum the movement of the fingers and line of sight, which, in the case of input of for example the hiragana 50-character phonetic syllabary of the Japanese language, displays an initial block of the major group lead characters a (), ka (), sa (), ta (), na () on a first row of a character input region on a display screen and the block of the remaining major group lead characters ha (), ma (), ya (), ra (), wa () on the second row, allows movement of a focus position or character position by “left” and “right” keys (a ()→ka ()→sa ()→ . . . ), switches the character focused to the block of ha (), ma (), ya (), ra (), wa () after the focus position reaches na (), allows switching between displayed characters by for example using the “down” key to move to the next character (for example, a ()→i ()→u ()→ . . . ) and using the “up” key to move to the furthest character in the group (for example, a ()→o ()→ . . . ), and allowing input of the character by using a “decision” key when the character to be input is focused on.
Abstract:
For an apparatus effectively providing a real three-dimensional model to a customer, three-dimensional shape data of a target is obtained at a data input section (10). The data is managed by a server which is connected to a network. A suitable formation section (14) is selected to form a real three-dimensional model based on the data. In addition, the formation completion is automatically notified to the customer via a completion display panel (260), a cellular phone (61), or the like.
