摘要: The invention relates generally to the field of motorized garage door openers. In particular, the invention relates to wireless safety sensors for garage door openers and garage door opener with a wireless safety sensor. The wireless safety sensor has a wireless communication link with a main control unit of the garage door opener. The wireless safety sensor also has an internal wireless link, i.e., a detection beam link, between a master unit and a slave unit. The wireless safety sensor periodically verifies that the wireless communication link has good signal quality and maintains the quality of the wireless communication link.

摘要: A system and method for proximity control of a barrier comprises a stationary wireless signal receiving device and a mobile transmitting device. The wireless signal receiving device may monitor at least one transmitting device within a predetermined coverage area and may be a radio frequency receiver or a spread spectrum receiver located near the barrier. In one embodiment, the transmitter device emits a control signal that is received by the receiving device when the transmitter is within a reception range. In one embodiment, the control signal includes transmitter identification information, directional information and position information. In another embodiment, the barrier is closed only after a predetermined delay has lapsed.

摘要: A processor-based transmitter-receiver system and method in which a receiver receives coded signals from at least two transmitters. A circuit for receiving a first coded signal from a first transmitter and a second coded signal from a second transmitter. Each of the coded signals includes a unique identification code and a variable security code. A memory stores at least two codes, each including a unique identification code and a variable security code. A processor coupled to the circuit and the memory, compares each of the received coded signals with each of the stored sets of codes. The processor generates a valid signal if one of the received coded signals matches one of the stored codes.

摘要: An apparatus and methods are provided for a universal transmitter. In one embodiment, a method includes detecting activation of at least one button of the universal transmitter, by a controller, for a predetermined time, outputting at least one set of signals to a first set of terminals of a switch of the universal transmitter, detecting output on a second set of terminals of the switch and determining position of a switch, by the controller, based, at least in part, on the output detected on the second set of terminals, wherein position of the switch relates to a transmission type. The method can further include detecting activation of a first button to be programmed and programming the first button based on the transmission type.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for operating a control switch. In one embodiment, the control switch includes an input terminal coupled to an alternating current (AC) power supply, a load terminal coupled to a load, a triac circuit coupled to the input terminal and the load terminal, a microcontroller and a power supply. The triac circuit may be configured to receive a triggering voltage and provide an activation pulse to the load based on one or more triggering voltage signals supplied by the microcontroller. In another embodiment, the power supply may be configured to step down AC power received from the input terminal and supply line voltage to the microcontroller.

A subset of the transmission values and corresponding transmission frequencies stored in the memory are assigned to or associated with one or more actuation switches upon matching the transmission values in a sampled signal to a set of transmission values stored in memory. In one embodiment, the transmission values may correspond to either a fixed-code transmission format or a rolling-code transmission format.
