In some embodiments, a crossing gate tip sensor may include a tilt sensor that includes one or more accelerometers.     摘要: An improved optical encoder with a simplified construction for reliable component alignment and enhanced resolution is disclosed. The encoder includes a housing with locating points, such as studs and shelves, integrally formed on inner surfaces of the housing. The locating points reliably fix the X, Y and Z axis orientation between a light detector and light source assembly. The light source assembly preferably comprises two light detectors on a single board to increase resolution. Additional features of the invention include a sealed housing and a code wheel having two concentric tracks of transmissive slots that are circumferentially offset from each other and an external cable strain relief assembly.

    摘要: A portable traction device incorporating a simple and quickly-attachable frame adapted to be positioned on the frame of a patient transport cot for the application of traction force to a patient during transport. The traction device includes a base frame or U-shaped bracket member which fits around the frame of a cot and includes flanges thereon to mount the bracket member on either end of a transport cot. The bracket member has suitable guide sleeves therein and a U-shaped pulley bar is adjustably positioned in the guide sleeves of the bracket member. Adjustably positioned pulleys are mounted on the pulley bar such that through the use of appropriate slings, traction force may be directed to the limbs, pelvis or cervical neck regions of the patient being transported to provide a traction force to the patient during transport.

Components used in conjunction with the receiver functions may be integrated into the safety vest. The components may include one or more antennas, radio receiver (or transceiver) circuitry, integrated power supply source, indication components, and acknowledgement components. The safety vest may generate safety alerts in response to receiving signals from peer transmitter devices in the worker protection systems.

    摘要: A rail line sensing and safety system adapted to reliably sense the presence, and optionally the direction and speed, of vehicles traveling on a rail line, and when a vehicle is sensed, to indicate whether a safety device, such as crossing gates, lights, bells, etc., should be activated. The system comprises at least one detection module typically mounted on a rail, at least one remote module typically located near a detection module, and at least one control module typically located near a safety device. In operation, a detection module senses a vehicle traveling on a rail line and sends signals to a remote module. The remote module then processes signals received from the detection module and transmits signals to the control module. The control module then directs, either directly or indirectly as a backup or supplement to an existing sensing and safety system, whether a safety device should be activated.
