摘要: A modular frame assembly for constructing a building frame includes a deck assembly having longitudinal frame members covered by a metal deck and at least two vertical support members rotatably coupled to the deck assembly. Vertical support members have flanges and an intervening web or may alternatively be formed from hollow square or round cylindrical tubes. Vertical support members may be rotatably coupled to flat sides of the longitudinal frame members or may alternately be coupled to the ends of the longitudinal frame members by intervening vertical support member connectors. Vertical support members may be rotated to fold the frame assembly for transport and unfolded and affixed to longitudinal frame members to form part of a building frame. Some embodiments include more than one frame assembly affixed along their sides to one another and/or stacked one atop the other.

摘要: A gateway can be configured to receive an emergency event message in a predefined format via a network. The emergency event message can characterize a location and a nature of an emergency event. The gateway can also be configured to identify a particular Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) customer premise equipment (CPE) to service the emergency event. The gateway can further be configured determine a format of messages employable by the particular PSAP. The gateway can still further be configured to provide the particular PSAP CPE with an output message in the format employable by the particular PSAP CPE. The output message can characterize the nature and the location of the emergency event.

摘要: A climbing vehicle capable of high payload to weight ratio and capable of climbing surfaces with geometric variations is enabled through a suspension mechanism consisting of a resilient runner chain. The resilient runners contain adhering members such as magnets that create forces directed toward a ferrous climbing surface. The resilient runner has flexibility and internal stiffness or additional springs that transfer these forces to the climbing vehicle chassis and payload to provide equilibrium during the climbing process. It is able to conform to a large range of surface irregularities while providing push and pulling forces between the adhering members and the climbing vehicle chassis to uniformly distribute the climbing loads on the adhering members. The result is a climbing machine that can accommodate large surface irregularities while maximizing the climbing payload with a minimum number and size of adhering members.

摘要: This patent discloses a climbing vehicle capable of high payload to weight ratio and capable of climbing surfaces with geometric variations and traveling along a single dimension. More specifically, this invention applies to a vehicle well adapted to climbing non-planar surfaces such as pipes or other structural members while traveling along a single dimension, for example traveling parallel to the axis of the pipe. The climbing vehicle makes contact with the climbing surface through drive wheels and a trialing arm. The adhering members are aligned with the primary axis and are rigidly attached or contained in a suspension that is able to conform to a large range of surface irregularities while providing push and pulling forces between the adhering members and the climbing vehicle chassis to uniformly distribute the climbing loads on the adhering members. The result is a climbing machine that can accommodate large surface irregularities while maximizing the climbing payload with a minimum number and size of adhering members.

摘要: A CRT light pen emulating interface with power save and remote access for flat panel displays includes a pen flat panel display that indicates at least one of a user action with a light pen switch or other device and a presence of a light pen emulating object positioned on or proximate to a display surface of the electromagnetic pen flat panel display. A light pen emulating object is positioned proximate to the electromagnetic pen flat panel display. A processor generates a light pen emulation signal comprising position data for the light pen emulating object relative to the display surface of the electromagnetic flat panel display. A light pen CRT electronic interface converts the position data for the light pen emulating object into a corresponding signal that is comparable to a signal generated by a CRT light pen viewing a scanning dot on the CRT screen.

摘要: A device for identifying the presence of a specific target molecule or biomarker by the detection of a change in an electrical property includes a measurement sensor 8 comprising a semiconducting sensor structure 12 capable of conjugating with the biomarker, thus giving rise to the said change in electrical property, and an electrode system 3, 4 for conducting a signal from the device. According to the invention there is a further such sensor 9, of substantially identical form but having its sensor structure 14 already conjugated with the biomarker, or otherwise capped, e.g. using a further oligonucleotide strand, so as to act as an internal reference. When a biological sample, e.g. saliva, is applied to the electrodes, the reference enables the discounting of all environmental effects other than the biomarker. The invention provides a simple, cheap and accurate text for one or more biomarkers that can be used in the field without complex equipment.
