    摘要: A novel probe card that comprises a set of fiducials and a method for using the same are disclosed. The set of fiducials comprises a first fiducial and a second fiducial fixed relative to the probe card substrate. Comparing the relative positions of the fiducials determines whether the probes are in proper alignment. This can be performed by the unaided eye or by using a low powered microscope. This novel probe card may also be used with computer vision alignment methods, thus enhancing the speed and accuracy of the computer vision method.

    摘要: An electrical connector for establishing electrical connection between a conductive portion of an LCD display and conductive elements of a printed circuit board comprises a substantially planar insulative connector housing and a plurality of electrical contacts supported thereby. Each contact includes a deflectable spring-like portion for resilient engagement with the LCD display and a tail portion for conductive engagement with the printed circuit board. Each contact further includes therebetween a mid-section secured to the insulative housing. The contacts are supported in the housing in laterally spaced disposition with respect to each other, and are adapted to provide sufficient normal forces to maintain sufficient mechanical and electrical connection between the connector and each of an LCD display and a printed circuit board. Contact free ends may be captured in a slot in the housing and the housing may include a flexible extent to provide increased contact pressure upon mating.

    摘要: A mount assembly for supporting the arc tube of a lamp within an outer envelope has first and second axially aligned banding straps. Each of the straps has a closed crimp section and an open crimp section. The straps are positioned so that an open crimp section of one strap overlies a closed crimp section of the other strap, thereby equalizing tensions when the crimps are closed. The mount assembly includes also a mount frame comprised of two elongated rods which are affixed to the banding straps. The straps are mounted upon the glass stem of the lamp.

    摘要: A solution for analyzing a circuit using initial charge information is provided. In particular, one or more nodes in a design for the circuit is initialized with an initial charge. The charge can comprise a non-equilibrium charge, thereby simulating the history effect, the impact of a charged particle, electro-static discharge (ESD), and/or the like. Operation of the circuit is then simulated over the set of input cycles based on the initial charge(s). To this extent, the non-equilibrium initial condition solution enables the state of the circuit to be controlled and solves the initial system based on these values. This capability is very useful to condition the circuit at a worst-case, best-case, and/or the like, status. Further, in one embodiment of the invention, a set of equations are provided to implement the non-equilibrium initial charge analysis, which provide a more efficient initialization of the circuit than current solutions.
