Abstract:
Techniques, devices, and systems that include mechanisms for connectionless communications in wireless communication networks or systems include using a connectionless reverse link (RL) channel that is identified by a public long code mask. Power for the RL connectionless channel is adjusted by open loop power control under the control or a wireless device or by closed loop power control. The RL connectionless channel supports different transmission rates.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for group paging of wireless devices are described. A wireless device is associated with a member identifier (MID) that is a unique identifier for the wireless device. The wireless device is associated with a group identifier (GID) that is a unique identifier for a group of which the wireless device is a member. The wireless device is woken up from a sleep mode at a wake-up time based on the GID.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for enhanced slotted mode operation for wireless communication are disclosed. A first control message indicative of a first sleep cycle duration is received. When the first control message includes a first message field, a second control message that includes a second field indicative of a second sleep cycle duration that is greater than the first sleep cycle duration is transmitted.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a system for inter-system redirection. The method comprises: a base station sending a first message to a terminal, instructing the terminal to perform redirection; and the terminal accessing the redirected network; wherein the first message carries at least one of the following: a type of wireless access technology, an identifier of whether to redirect, threshold information of redirection, recognition information of the redirected cell, carrier frequency information, return indication of redirection failure, and grouping information of redirection. The present invention solves the problem in the related art of mobile terminal in a HRPD network performing completely autonomous reselection between different systems, thus reducing the network load, lowering network operating costs, and ensuring to the greatest extent the quality of service for users.
Abstract:
Some embodiments relate a capacitor array arranged on a semiconductor substrate. The capacitor array includes an array of unit capacitors arranged in a series of rows and columns. An interconnect structure couples unit capacitors of the array to establish a plurality of capacitor elements. The respective capacitor elements have different numbers of unit capacitors and different corresponding capacitances. In establishing the plurality of capacitor elements, the interconnect structure couples unit capacitors of the array in substantially identical sub-arrays tiled over the semiconductor substrate. Other methods and devices are also disclosed.

Abstract:
Wireless communication techniques are provided to receive a service priority scheme selection and determine, during reception of a first service, whether or not to switch to a second service, based on the received service priority scheme selection. Devices, systems and methods can be configured to implement the techniques for service priority scheme selection.
Abstract:
Techniques, apparatuses, and systems include mechanisms for interworking circuit service fallback. In one implementation, a system for wireless communications can include one or more first base stations forming a first radio access network to provide wireless communications based on a first wireless technology; one or more second base stations forming a second radio access network to provide wireless communications based on a second wireless technology which is different from the first wireless technology, and an interworking service (IWS) module that is configured to provide the interworking between the first and second radio access networks for communications to a wireless device served by the system via either the first wireless technology or the second wireless technology, and uses a signal adaptation protocol to encapsulate messages in communicating with a wireless device served by the system. Other implementations are also provided in this document.
Abstract:
A multi-phase rotating motor causes interpolar mutually-coupled magnetic potential gradient of a field magnet member and an armature member to be prearranged by providing desired shape of pole face for two magnetic pole faces of magnetic assemblies of the field magnet member and the pole faces of the paired poles of electromagnetic assemblies of the armature member, thus controlling detent torque to be varied as desired; and multi-phase arrangement is utilized to further balance the unwanted detent torque in order to guarantee that magnetic flux centralization as well as minimization for magnetic flux loss and of interference effect in motor characteristics are hardly influenced. In addition, with the help of two or more than two magnetic tracks, more parallel air gaps are added in three-dimensional space of the motor to cause the motor, by means of the difference between the magnetic track to which the electromagnetic assemblies of the each-phase unit are corresponding and the magnetic track to which the electromagnetic assemblies of other phase units, to obtain the benefit that higher torque output is provided or more serially-connected and independently-moving individuals are simultaneously arranged, on condition of limited movement direction space.
Abstract:
A micro-channel heat sink comprises an upper cover layer and a cooling layer. The cooling layer comprises at least one inlet fluid tank, a plurality of micro-channels, and at least one outlet fluid tank. The inlet fluid tank can store and deliver the working fluids, and the outlet fluid tank collects the heated working fluid flowing through the plurality of micro-channels. The plurality of micro-channels are disposed between the inlet fluid tank and the outlet fluid tank, wherein the cross sectional area of each of the micro-channels increases along the direction towards the outlet fluid tank.
