摘要: Vacuum circuit breakers are to gain an extended lifetime by reducing contact face damage of moving and fixed electrodes with improved voltage withstand performance therebetween and enhanced interruption performance. Vacuum circuit breaker of the present invention has bulb 10 having: insulative vacuum tube 11; and fixed electrode 12 on end of current-carrying conductor 13 and moving electrode 15 on end of another current-carrying conductor 16 arranged in insulative vacuum tube 11 with their electrode contact faces opposed each other. Operation system for manipulating current-carrying conductor 16 of moving electrode 15 is equipped with compression-spring 20 and auxiliary compression-spring 21 that increases initial opening speed of moving electrode 15. Auxiliary compression-spring 21 ceases energizing in the middle of a circuit breaking movement of moving electrode 15 and begins storing spring energy in the middle of a circuit closing movement of the same.

摘要: When taking a back up of data stored on a disk in a redundant array of inexpensive disks (RAID) device to a plurality of tape devices, writing of the data is first started on all the tape devices. Once writing of the data is completed on the tape device having the highest data writing speed, writing of the data on other tape devices is stopped, and the data is set as clearing target data to be cleared from the disk of the RAID device. The data stored on the tape device, which has the highest data writing speed, is backed up to the other tape devices at a later timing.

摘要: A mutated alkaline cellulase derived from a cellulase having the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or one having a homology of at least 90% therewith by deleting one or more amino acid residues from the 343- to 377-positions in SEQ ID NO: 1 or a region corresponding thereto and then inserting a peptide having from 2 to 15 amino acid residues into the deletion site; and a gene encoding the same. The above alkaline cellulase has an optimum pH value close to the pH value of laundry water and, therefore, is useful as an enzyme for detergents.

摘要: A tritium removal device for a lithium loop contains a neutron source (1) for colliding protons on a lithium flow, thereby generating neutrons, a lithium tank (11) for the lithium passing through this neutron source (1) to flow thereto through a flow passage (9), thereby temporarily accumulating it therein, and a lithium pump (17) for circulating and supplying the lithium of this lithium tank (11) to the neutron source (1) through a supply-side flow passage (9′). The lithium tank (11) and the lithium pump (17), into which hydrogen gas containing tritium therein can be easily collected, are enclosed within a hermetically sealed container (7) including an inactive gas therein, so that even if the hydrogen gas including the tritium therein is leaked into the hermetically sealed container (7), it is removed by a hydrogen isotope removal filter.

It is possible to remove the tritium, with safety, without diffusing the tritium from an inside of the lithium loop for forming a target flow into an atmosphere.

摘要: A deodorizer device for use in a refrigerator has an absorbent capable of absorbing odor components from air, a layer of a photocatalyst deposited on the surface of the absorbent, and a light source for illuminating the photocatalyst layer to excite the same. Air containinig odor components is forced by a blower to flow through the absorbent.

摘要: A storage system includes a storage device that stores data, a cache memory that caches the data, an information storage unit that stores data configuration information indicating a configuration of the data and state information indicating a cache state of the data in the cache memory, a candidate data selection unit, a first determining unit and a data-to-be-written unit. The candidate data selection unit selects, according to the state information candidate data from the data cached in the cache memory. The first determination unit determines, according to the data configuration information, whether data relating to the candidate data is cached in the cache memory. The data-to-be-written selection unit selects, according to the determination made by the first determination unit, data to be written into the storage device, from the data cached in the cache memory.
