    摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for providing a virtual federation of remote portals. According to one embodiment, providing a virtual federation of remote portals can comprise defining, by a portal system, a configuration of a virtual federation of a plurality of nodes. For example, each node can comprise an application server executing a different enterprise application and maintaining application content for the enterprise application in a separate database. The portal system can also define access control information for a user of the portal system. Each node of the virtual federation can similarly define access control information for the user. The system can then provide access to the application content of the nodes at runtime based on the configuration of the virtual federation and the access control information for the user defined by the portal system and the access control information for the user defined by the nodes.

    摘要: A metal fiber, copper, and titanate free non-asbestos friction material for brake pads is provided. The friction material includes a binder, such as a phenolic resin, forming 16-24 % by volume; a fiber, such as aramid fiber, forming 4-12 % by volume; a lubricant, such as a blend of antimony tri-sulfide and another metal sulfide, forming 2-5 % by volume; and at least one abrasive, such as a blend of mineral fiber, magnesium oxide, and mica, forming 10-22 % by volume. The friction material further comprises rubber powder in an amount of at least 4 % by volume. The brake pad can be formed by a cost effective process consisting essentially of mixing the ingredients, pressing and curing the friction material to a backing plate, and post baking the brake pad.

The method also includes determining, by the classifier, a priority value of each packet received from the policer. The method also includes directing, by the classifier, each prioritized packet to the policer. The method also includes determining whether to allow or reject each prioritized packet through the policer based on the priority value.

Generally expressed, a remote unit (101) enters (403) a high-rate-channel-maintenance mode in which it transmits channel maintenance signaling. When a low-rate condition is met (405), the remote unit enters (407) a low-rate-channel-maintenance mode in which it transmits channel maintenance signaling at either a lower rate or a lower transmit power than when in the high-rate-channel-maintenance mode. Then when a high-rate condition is met (409), the remote unit reenters the high-rate-channel-maintenance mode.

    摘要: A piston formed from an Al alloy, such as an Al—Si alloy, has wear resistant coating applied to a predetermined portion of the outer surface. The predetermined portion of the outer surface preferably includes the piston skirt. The coating includes an adhesion promoting primer layer of a silane and a polymer coating layer. The silane primer coating promotes adhesion between the Al-alloy and the polymer coating. A method for making a piston of the type described includes the steps of: fabricating a piston having an outer surface; cleaning the outer surface of the piston by applying a cleaning solution to the outer surface; rinsing the outer surface of the piston with a rinse to remove the cleaning solution from the outer surface of the piston; applying a primer coating comprising a silane to at least a predetermined portion of the outer surface of the piston; drying the primer coating onto the outer surface of the piston; and applying a polymer coating to a predetermined portion of the outer surface of the piston.
