    摘要: Apparatus for the simultaneous plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition of thin film material onto an elongated web of substrate material at a plurality of discrete spatially separated deposition zones. In order to accomplish said simultaneous deposition, the web of substrate material is operatively positioned so as to assume a serpentine path of travel through a reduced pressure enclosure. By using an elongated linear applicator as a source of microwave energy, a high rate of uniform deposition of said thin film material over a plurality of large areas of the web of substrate material can be simultaneously achieved without heating of said web above the melting point thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the web of substrate material is formed of a low temperature, microwave transmissive synthetic plastic resin and the thin film material deposited thereupon forms a barrier coating for preventing oxygen diffusion therethrough.

    摘要: There are video and sound recording devices such as movie cameras or video cameras with an automatic focusing system of the type for setting a photographic lens to a position at which an object can be sharply focused in response to the signal which is representative of a distance from the camera to the object and obtained by measuring the time interval from the time when the ultrasonic waves are transmitted at a predetermined repetition frequency to the object to the time when the echo from the object is received. Such devices have a common defect that a microphone picks up impulse-like noise generated from an ultrasonic transducer especially at the start point of ultrasonic waves. To overcome this problem, the present invention provides an audible noise elimination or suppression means or a control circuit which operates in synchronism with the ultrasonic wave transmission so that an audio signal processing system attenuates the audio output signal.

    摘要: A track jump controlling apparatus controls a track jump operation of an optical pickup, which is adapted to emit a light beam onto a recording medium of disc shape, receive a reflected or transmitted light from the optical disc and generate a tracking error signal. The track jump controlling apparatus is provided with: a tracking servo-controlling device, coupled to the optical pickup, for performing a tracking servo-control on the basis of the tracking error signal; a driving device for driving the optical pickup to move the light beam in a radial direction of the recording medium according to jump data including a kick pulse to accelerate the light beam and a brake pulse to decelerate the light beam; an eccentricity detecting device for detecting an amount of eccentricity of the recording medium, and outputting an eccentricity signal which indicates the amount of eccentricity; and a jump data generating device, coupled to the eccentricity detecting device and the driving device, for changing at least one of a pulse width and a crest value of the brake pulse on the basis of the eccentricity signal, and generating the jump data to the driving device.
