An electronic programming guide (EPG) providing apparatus and method, in which an EPG is configured as a 3D form to facilitate a search for broadcasting program information included in the EPG. The EPG providing apparatus includes an EPG screen configuring unit and a control unit. The EPG screen configuring unit configures an EPG screen such that broadcasting program information is displayed on at least three faces of a 3D polyhedron. The control unit controls the EPG screen configuring unit to configure the EPG screen such that broadcasting program information corresponding to another broadcasting time zone or another broadcasting channel is displayed on the EPG screen based on a user input signal requesting a search for the broadcasting program information corresponding to another broadcasting time zone or another broadcasting channel.
Abstract:
A method of realizing a personal video recorder (PVR) using a home network device is provided. A client receives contents and replays the contents in a home network. The client uploads first contents received from a real time broadcasting channel to the server from a time when an external time-shift input is received, terminates the uploading of the first contents if an external replay input is received during the uploading of the first contents, replays the first contents whose uploading is terminated from a portion requested by the external replay input, and simultaneously uploads second contents to the server, received from the real time broadcasting channel at a time when the uploading of the first contents is terminated. A user can watch a live broadcast using a time-shift function such as a PVR via a home network device without a separate PVR.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for receiving remote control key data in a home network and requesting a server to perform an operation corresponding to the remote control key data. The method includes converting the remote control key data to a code which can be referred to in a web document received from the server, determining an operation corresponding to the code by referring to the web document, and requesting the server to perform the determined operation. Accordingly, even when an item corresponding to a function supported by the server is not displayed on a menu screen, a user receiving a service from the server using a client device in the home network can use the function by instinctively pressing a remote control key corresponding to the function.

Disclosed are a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and an RFID tag antenna thereof. The RFID tag antenna includes an antenna pattern which includes: a chip matching pattern which is disposed at a middle portion of the tag antenna, forms a closed loop, and is electrically connected to a chip; a first ejector pattern which is connected to a first side of the chip matching pattern; and a second ejector pattern which is connected to a second side of the chip matching pattern, wherein the first and second ejector patterns are symmetric with respect to the chip matching pattern, and the chip matching pattern includes a gap in the closed loop.

Provided are a semiconductor memory device and a test method thereof. The semiconductor memory device includes: a die in which a plurality of internal circuits are integrated; a plurality of first and second channel pads having a first pad size and a first pad pitch, disposed in an alternating manner in a straight line at a center part of the die, and divided into a plurality of parallel rows, wherein the plurality of first and second channel pads are configured to selectively contact test probes in an alternating manner to receive an external wafer test signal and to output a signal generated by the plurality of internal circuits to the exterior. Therefore, it is possible to perform a test using plural channel pads during a wafer test of the semiconductor memory device using a plurality of probes of a probe card without incorrect contacts or non-contact with adjacent pads.

Provided is a method of a media server providing broadcast content received from an outside source in a universal plug and play (UPnP) network. The method includes receiving a message from a control point requesting to change to a second channel, while transmitting broadcast content of a first channel by setting a connection for streaming with a media renderer; and transmitting the broadcast content of the second channel instead of the broadcast content of the predetermined first channel by changing a broadcasting reception of the first channel while maintaining the connection.

A method for controlling gas pressure for inflating a passenger-side frontal airbag in a vehicle comprises a determination of the type and number of passengers in the passenger seat and a determination of the nature and severity of the impact. When at least one passenger is resident in the passenger seat, the current passenger type is selected from a plurality of predetermined passenger types. The gas pressure for inflating the passenger-side frontal airbag is adjusted on the basis of the current passenger type and number, and the frontal impact generated from the collision.

A flexible device, a flexible pressure sensor, and a fabrication method thereof. The present flexible device includes: a first flexible substrate formed of a flexible material to have a flexibility; an active element formed to have a predetermined thickness and a flexibility, and being attached on the first flexible substrate; and a second flexible substrate formed of a flexible material to have a flexibility, and being deposited on the active element. The flexible device and the flexible pressure sensor have a high flexibility, so that they may be applied for a medical treatment such as implantation to a living body, a human body and so forth. In addition, the flexible device has a high flexibility, so that it may be inserted to a curved surface, which contributes to remove the limit of space where the semiconductor package device may be inserted.
