摘要： An insulated cable is disclosed which comprises an electrical core conductor (1) having arranged coaxially around it at least three extruded layers of polymer-based material, which layers comprise an insulating layer (3) comprising a copolymer of polyethylene and an acrylate, an outer layer (5) of a semi-conductive material, and an intermediate layer (4) between the insulating and outer layers which comprises polyethylene and is substantially free of any acrylate or conducting material, such that the outer layer (5) is strippable from the intermediate layer (4).

摘要： A process for the production of a composition for screening solar radiation which comprises a transparent polymer incorporating an interference pigment comprising a platelet shaped material is disclosed, which process comprises the steps of incorporating the interference pigment into the polymer, and then stretching the resultant polymer in at least one direction to at least twice its original length in that direction. The resultant composition has improved radiation screening properties.

The polyethylene powder has a porosity of at least 0.04 cm3/g for pores smaller than 2μm.
