Provided is a decorative film having excellent weather resistance, scratch resistance, and elongation properties, and a decorative article using the same, and a surface protective composition that can exhibit such properties. A decorative film according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a surface protective layer. The surface protective layer contains a polyurethane resin obtained by reacting a composition containing a polycarbonate diol, and a trimer or higher multimer of a diisocyanate including a cyclohexane structure, a diisocyanate including a cyclohexane structure or a prepolymer thereof, or a mixture thereof, and the decorative film satisfies Formulas 1 to 3 below: 0≤X1≤2.00 . . . Formula 1 X1≤−0.7×X2+4.67 . . . Formula 2 X1≥−0.7×X2+2.14 . . . Formula 3 where X1 is a numerical value obtained by multiplying the number of branches from a branch point relative to a converted molecular weight of the polyurethane resin by 1000, and X2 is a numerical value obtained by multiplying the number of cyclohexane structure portions included in the polyurethane resin relative to the converted molecular weight of the polyurethane resin by 1000.

The decorative laminated sheet includes a surface layer, a design layer, and an adhesive layer containing a polymer having a propylene unit of 85 mass % or more, in that order.

A method for manufacturing a sheet laminate to be affixed to an adherent surface of an object, the method comprising preparing a sheet member having a front surface to become a design surface and a rear surface on which an adhesive part has been formed, bending an edge part of the sheet member by sandwiching the sheet member from a front surface side and a rear surface side in a mold, and heating a part of a bent sheet member. The sheet laminate has a flat part spreading out in a flat plate shape, a side surface on which the edge part bent by the bending step is configured, and a connecting surface protruding and curving toward the front surface side between the flat part and the side surface, and in the heating step, the connecting surface is partially heated after the side surface is molded in the bending step.

Disclosed herein are improved thermoplastic polyurethane compositions, articles, and related methods. These compositions include aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethanes having a hard segment content ranging from 57 percent to 80 percent by weight. The hard coat compositions have a Shore D hardness of at least 70 and can display an Elongation at Break test result at 25 degrees Celsius of at least 150 percent. These materials, when hardened, can serve decorative and/or protective functions while displaying both a high degree of elongation at moderate temperatures and high hardness.

The disclosed retroreflective sheet contains a retroreflective layer and a polyurethane surface protecting layer, wherein the surface protecting layer contains at least a reaction product of a polyol with either a polyester backbone or a polycarbonate backbone and a trifunctional or higher aliphatic isocyanate, and the glass transition temperature Tg of the surface protecting layer is 50° C. or higher, and the tan δ of the loss tangent at 120° C. is 0.1 or less.

A sheet laminate that can be easily affixed to a bonded surface and which can enhance handleability. The sheet laminate (1) includes a pair of sidewall parts (3), each extending toward the rear surface (2b) side from a pair of mutually opposing edges of the main body part (2). The pair of sidewall parts 3 have a curved shape projecting outward with respect to the main body part (2). Including such a sidewall part (3) makes it possible to affix the sheet laminate (1) to the B-pillar (50) by sandwiching the side surfaces (50b) of both sides of the B-pillar (50) having a bonded surface (50a) by using the curved shape of the pair of sidewall parts (3) while covering the bonded surface (50a) with the design surface of the main body part (2). As a result, the sheet laminate (1) can be affixed easily to the bonded surface (50a), which enhances handleability of the sheet laminate (1).
