Abstract: The battery module includes a plurality of battery cells electrically connected to one another, a silicone rubber foam at least partially covering the plurality of battery cells, and a flame barrier sheet at least partially covering the plurality of battery cells. Abstract: Compositions are provided including a chemical blowing agent, a silicone component including an average of more than one free-radically reactive group, and a free-radical initiator. Foam compositions are also provided including a foamed silicone thermoset polymer matrix, fragments of a free-radical initiator, and fragments of a chemical blowing agent. The present disclosure further provides a method of making a foam gasket including dispensing a flowable composition onto a surface of an article and solidifying the flowable composition to form the foam gasket on the surface of the article. The composition includes a chemical blowing agent and a crosslinkable silicone component, and is dispensed at a temperature sufficient to activate the chemical blowing agent. Also, a foam gasket is provided including a foamed silicone thermoplastic polymer matrix and fragments of a chemical blowing agent. An article is additionally provided, including first and second surfaces configured to mate with each other such that when they are mated, the article has a closed clamshell structure. The article further includes a foam gasket disposed on the first surface including a foamed silicone thermoplastic polymer matrix.

Abstract: Provided are methods and associated compositions directed to a structural bonding adhesive. The structural bonding adhesive is made by mixing a curable composition comprising a mixture of a first curable resin and a second curable resin to provide an uncured adhesive. The uncured adhesive is irradiated by a first actinic light source to polymerize the first curable resin without polymerizing the second curable resin to provide a partially cured adhesive. The partially cured adhesive is a pressure-sensitive adhesive that displays cold flow creep recovery under ambient conditions and is capable of being fully cured by irradiating the partially cured adhesive using a second actinic light source that is different from the first actinic light source to polymerize the second curable resin.

Abstract: The composition includes a vinyl-substituted polysiloxane having at least two vinyl groups, a hydrosilylation catalyst, a hydrosilyl-substituted polysiloxane having at least two silicon-hydride groups, and a phosphorous-containing flame retardant encapsulated in a crosslinked, nitrogen-containing polymer. The composition may be a two-part composition including a first part and a second part. The first part includes a vinyl-substituted polysiloxane, a hydrosilylation catalyst, and a phosphorous-containing flame retardant encapsulated in a crosslinked, nitrogen-containing polymer. The second part includes a second vinyl-substituted polysiloxane and a hydrosilyl-substituted polysiloxane. A battery module including a plurality of battery cells and the composition at least partially encasing the plurality of battery cells is also disclosed.
