摘要: A positive-working lithographic printing plate precursor includes a coating optimized for producing a minimum extent of ablation when exposed to heat and/or light. The coating includes an infrared absorbing agent which contains a structural element according to Formula I: wherein A represents —S—R1 wherein R1 represents an optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, alkaryl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, or heteroaryl group, and/or combinations thereof; and Q=—CHR′—CHR″—, —CR′═CR″— or —CHR′—CHR″—CHR′″— and R′, R″ and R′″ independently represent hydrogen, an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, alkaryl, aryl or heteroaryl group, or R′ and R″ or R″ and R′″ form together a cyclic structure.

摘要: A radiation curable polyurethane resin includes an ionic group, a polyalkylene oxide in a side chain thereof, and a (meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide having a hydroxyl functional group. The polyurethane resin is obtainable by reacting a polyester polyol, a polyether diol, a polyol containing an ionic group, a (meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide having a hydroxyl functional group, and a polyisocyanate. The polyester polyol is obtained by reacting a polycarboxylic acid and a polyol. The radiation curable polyurethane resin can be used as binder in an aqueous ink jet ink.

摘要: A method for manufacturing capsules for an in inkjet ink includes the steps of a) preparing a non-aqueous solution of a first shell component for forming a polymeric shell and one or more chemical reactants optionally in an organic solvent having a low miscibility with water and having a lower boiling point than water; b) preparing an aqueous solution of a second shell component for forming the polymeric shell and an amphoteric surfactant; c) dispersing the non-aqueous solution under high shear in the aqueous solution; d) optionally stripping the organic solvent from the mixture of the aqueous solution and the non-aqueous solution; and e) preparing a polymeric shell around the one or more chemical reactants by interfacial polymerization of the first and second shell components for forming the polymeric shell.
