Abstract:
Culture media which contain a water-soluble polymer, such as polyvinyl alcohol and the like, and albumin, and the like, are useful for the proliferation of stem cells, and show good culture results, particularly with iPS cells, and maintain the stability of the medium properties, as well as using a reduced amount of albumin.
Abstract:
Cultivating a pluripotent stem cell in a medium comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of ethanolamine, an ethanolamine analog, and a s pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and which is substantially free of β-mercaptoethanol or contains β-mercaptoethanol at a concentration of not more than 9 μM, and the like, is effective for the proliferation of a pluripotent stem cell while maintaining an undifferentiated state.

Abstract:
A cell proliferation rate can be improved by a medium for cell culture, containing 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) at a concentration of not less than 30 mM, and having an osmotic pressure of 220 to 340 mOsm/kg, and a cell culture method using the medium.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition for promoting cell proliferation containing polylysine in which at least one amino group is mono-substituted by dicarboxylic acid.
Abstract:
A medium which comprises a fibroblast growth factor (FGF), and a sulfated compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at a concentration which promotes the growth of a stem cell in the presence of FGF, is useful for culturing stem cells.
Abstract:
Ferroelectric memory elements which contain a poly α-amino acid which is a copolymer containing a glutamic acid-γ-ester unit represented by the formula (I), defined herein, and a glutamic acid-γ-ester unit represented by the formula (II), defined herein, in a molar ratio of units of formula (I) to units of formula (II) of 10/90-90/10 are useful as recording elements such as RFID and the like.
