摘要: The present invention relates to the maintenance and/or culture of tissue slices in vitro or ex vivo. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for the maintenance and/or culture of tissue slices using hydrogels. In one embodiment, the hydrogel is a semi-synthetic hydrogel comprising thiolated hyaluronan with acrylated peptides comprising KGGGPQGIWGQGK (SEQ ID NO: 1) that are degradable by matrix metalloproteinases. In particular, the present invention provides a platform suitable for downstream analysis such as real-time imaging, other real-time study of the tissue in culture and testing of a therapeutic agent or a potential therapeutic agent.

摘要: Disclosed is a composition for selective enrichment of progressively motile non-fragmented/intact DNA sperms during swim-up of semen sample comprising combination of electrolytes, a mix of excipients, polyyvinylpyrrolidone, recombinant human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin. A method of selective enrichment of DNA-intact sperms using the compositions of the present invention is also disclosed. The DNA fragmentation index of the swim-up sperms are less than the DNA fragmentation index of the neat samples. The media compositions of the present invention are applicable for enrichment of non-fragmented/intact DNA sperms for therapeutic purposes in the field of assisted reproductive technologies.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for inducing differentiation, into chondrocytes, of cord blood mononuclear cell-derived induced pluripotent stem cells. In a case where a chondrogenic pellet produced by the method of the present invention is transplanted into a cartilage damage area in vivo, regeneration of cartilage can be effectively exhibited by differentiated chondrocytes. In such a case, an effective cartilage regeneration capacity can be exhibited as compared with a case where chondrocytes produced by differentiation induction with the addition of a recombinant growth factor are transplanted. Thus, the present invention can be usefully used for tissue engineering therapies.

The highly-efficient systems and methods of the present invention reduce the number of steps required to transfect cells and reduce, e.g., eliminate, the need for specialized equipment. In particular, the systems and related methods afford the ability for streamlining transfection while retaining and improving robust and reproducible transfection efficiencies, cell viability, and/or protein production. 摘要: A method for treating an oral condition of a subject by grafting cultured tissue constructs to the oral tissue. The cultured tissue constructs comprise cultured cells and endogenously produced extracellular matrix components without the requirement of exogenous matrix components or network support or scaffold members. Some tissue constructs of the invention are comprised of multiple cell layers or more than one cell type. The tissue constructs of the invention have morphological features and functions similar to tissues their cells are derived and their strength makes them easily handleable. Preferred cultured tissue constructs of the invention comprise cells derived from human tissue.
