摘要: When forming a separating functional layer containing crosslinked polyamide, by carrying this out in the presence of 1) carboxylic acid ester with a total of 8 or more carbons, or 2) carboxylic acid, it is possible to provide a composite semipermeable membrane which, while still maintaining a high rejection rate, is more outstanding in its water permeability than hitherto.

摘要: A driving circuit applies a voltage according to an assigned grayscale during each unit period of each display period, in such a manner that the applied voltage to a liquid crystal element during one of the unit periods and the applied voltage to the liquid crystal element during the other of the unit periods are opposite in polarity during each of the display periods, and an overdrive control unit enables the drive circuit to perform overdrive of a compensation grayscale according to a display image during the corresponding display period and to a display image during the immediately preceding display period during each of the first and second unit periods of each of the display periods, during each of the display periods.

摘要: A paper feeding device that feeds a sheet of a paper roll to a printing device includes two spaced-apart side plates having opposed first notches for rotatably bearing-supporting a first paper roll and opposed second notches for rotatably bearing-supporting a second paper roll that may have a different diameter in an unused state from that of the first paper roll. A near end sensor for detecting the remaining amount of the paper rolls is slidably positioned in a linear groove formed in one of the side plates. The linear groove having a longitudinal axis that passes through a midpoint of a straight line connecting a rotation center of a first paper roll bearing-supported in the first notches and a rotation center of a second paper roll bearing-supported in the second notches. When first and second paper rolls of different sizes are used, if both paper rolls are wound on paper tubes of the same size, the position of the near end sensor need not be changed, which is a great convenience for the user.

摘要: [Object] To lead a user to various types of information easily with an electronic book as a starting point. [Solving Means] A server apparatus includes a storage, a communication section, and a controller. The storage stores an electronic book obtained by digitizing a book having at least one page in which at least one information item is represented, and associated information that is associated with the information item. The communication section communicates with an external electronic apparatus. The controller generates, when the electronic book is displayed by the external electronic apparatus and the information item of the electronic book is designated, an electronic book unit by adding first metadata to the information item so that display processing of the associated information is executed on the external electronic apparatus, and controls the communication section to transmit the generated electronic book unit to the external electronic apparatus.
