    摘要: A coherent detection method including a step of estimating a transfer function of a propagation path using pseudo-pilot signals which consist of some information symbols adjacent to pilot signals. The information symbols in the pseudo-pilot signals are assumed to be known. The method includes the steps of estimating the transfer functions using the pilot signals, carrying out interpolation coherent detection of the information symbols using the estimated transfer functions, storing the detection results as the pseudo-pilot signals, reestimating the transfer functions associated with the information symbols corresponding to the pseudo-pilot signals by using the pseudo-pilot signals and the corresponding received signal under the assumption that the pseudo-pilot signals have a known correct pattern, and carrying out the interpolation coherent detection of the individual information symbols by using the transfer functions obtained by the reestimation. This makes it possible to estimate the transfer function at high accuracy with a small number of symbols per pilot signal, thereby improving the detection characteristics.

    摘要: A repeater improving the effect of a RAKE reception. A received signal from a base station parallelly passes a first path including a first delay circuit and a second path including no delay circuit, and is transmitted to a mobile station. A received signal from the mobile station parallelly passes a third path including a second delay circuit and a fourth path including no delay circuit, and is transmitted to the base station. The delay time of the delay circuits are set at one chip interval or more of a spreading code. This forcedly produces multipath waves which are resolvable by a RAKE receiver. The RAKE receiver estimates amplitudes of desired wave components for individual delayed waves, performs weighting of the respective delayed wave components from detectors by using the estimated amplitudes, and makes symbol decision in terms of the combined weighted signal.

A control channel information signal and traffic channel information signals are each spread by different first spreading codes which are fed from a first spreading code (short code) generator (11), and which have a period equal to the period of an information symbol. The signals of the entire channels are summed up by an adder (13) at appropriate timings, and the resultant sum is spread by the second spreading code fed from a second spreading code generator (14), thereby being output as a spread modulation signal.

    摘要: There are provided a channel estimation unit for achieving highly accurate channel estimation, a CDMA receiver and a CDMA transceiver with the channel estimation unit. Channel estimates of data symbols are obtained from a pilot symbol sequence which is parallel with a data symbol sequence. First, a plurality of pilot blocks are generated from the pilot symbol sequence. The channel estimates of the data symbols are obtained by calculating a sum of appropriately weighted averages of pilot symbols in the individual pilot blocks. This enables highly accurate channel estimation. More accurate channel estimation can be achieved by carrying out the channel estimation of the data symbols using the pilot symbols belonging to other slots rather than limiting to the pilot symbols in the slot to which the estimated data symbol belongs.

    摘要: A sliding correlator is disclosed for establishing initial synchronization to spectrum-despread a received signal into a narrow band signal in a radio receiver in a spread spectrum CDMA system. The a sliding correlator can achieve high speed synchronization. A received signal is stored in a memory circuit (43). The received signal is read from the memory circuit (43) at a frequency substantially higher than the storing rate of the received signal. The read received signal is multiplied by a replica of a spreading code sequence by means of a multiplier (45), and the output signal of the multiplier (45) is accumulated by an accumulator (46) over a predetermined time period. The output of the accumulator (46) is decided by a threshold detector (47) whether or not it exceeds a predetermined threshold. When the output of the threshold detector (47) is less than the threshold, the phase of the spreading code sequence is shifted, and the detection is repeated. Since the correlation is taken by reading the received signal from the memory circuit (43) at a high speed, the initial synchronization can be established quickly.
