    摘要: A control device for Diesel engines is proposed in which a rapid shutoff of the engine can be effected by evacuating the suction chamber of the injection pump. The control device includes a supply pump and a reversal valve, which in a stop position connects the suction chamber with the intake side of the supply pump and connects the compression side of the supply pump with the fuel tank. A check valve is provided in the supply line between the supply pump and the fuel filter which, when closed, is vacuum-tight; this check valve is disposed to open toward the filter, counter to the force of a valve closing spring. Another check valve, comprising an overflow valve determining the suction chamber pressure, is provided in an overflow line leading from the suction chamber to the fuel tank; this overflow valve is also vacuum-tight when closed. When the reversal valve is actuated by an electromagnet, a similar key-actuated shutoff to that known in gasoline engines can also be effected in Diesel engines. The circuitry of this embodiment also enables an involuntary "rolling start" to be blocked, and allows for a fail-safe shutoff of the engine in case of a malfunction in the governor shutoff device.

    摘要: A fuel injector having a piezoelectric actuator. A needle valve is mounted in the injector body and has an opening hydraulic surface substantially surrounded by a high-pressure fuel line in fluid communication with a high-pressure fuel chamber. A control piston partly defines a piston control chamber, which is in fluid communication with the opening hydraulic surface and the high-pressure fuel chamber. The piezoelectric actuator is activated between an off position and an on position for positioning a control valve into an open position or a closed position. A high-pressure fuel condition is maintained in the piston control chamber by fuel supplied from the high-pressure fuel chamber and independent of any actuation of the control valve. In a low pressure fuel condition, a force on the opening hydraulic surface of the needle valve member is greater than the downward force on the closing hydraulic surface thereby opening the needle valve member for producing an injection event.

A pressure valve closing element provided with a sealing face is pressed by a compression spring onto a valve body provided with a valve seat. To reduce pressure waves in the supply line caused by a sudden closing of the pressure valve, a check valve that opens in the direction of the pump work chamber, and that comprises a valve seat, a valve closing element, a spring plate and a restoring spring is disposed in a through conduit of the pressure valve closing element, which is preceded by a throttle restriction. Throttling of the fuel flowing downstream of the check valve is avoided by disposing a through conduit in the spring plate. A filler piece inserted into the through conduit and defining the opening stroke of the check valve, also has a longitudinal bore that opens into a transverse bore for an unthrottled fuel flow.
