    Abstract: Antenna structures and methods of operating the same are described. One apparatus includes a metal housing that includes a first slot formed in a first portion of a wall of the metal housing and a second slot formed in a second portion of the wall. The apparatus includes a fin structure disposed within the metal housing. The fin structure includes fins that form a first sectorial cavity behind the first portion of the wall corresponding to the first slot and a second sectorial cavity behind the second portion of the wall corresponding to the second slot. Radio frequency (RF) circuitry is disposed on a circuit board disposed within the metal housing and is operable to radiate electromagnetic energy via the first slot and to radiate electromagnetic energy via the second slot.

    Abstract: Antenna structures and methods of operating the same are described. One antenna structure having a stacked patch antenna including a first patch structure disposed in a first plane and a second patch structure disposed in a second plane, a first parasitic patch antenna that is coplanar with the second patch structure, and a second parasitic patch antenna that is coplanar with the second patch structure. The first patch structure includes a first substrate with a ground plane and a first patch element. The second patch structure includes a second substrate with a second patch element. The first parasitic patch antenna is disposed adjacent a first side of the second patch structure in the second plane. The second parasitic patch antenna is disposed adjacent a second side of the second patch structure in the second plane.

    Abstract: A plurality of UAVs may be operated in a fleet, each of the UAVs in the fleet being configured to work collectively to achieve one or more functions, such as to create a display or implement an antenna array. The fleet of UAVs may operate individually and/or may be coupled to one another to operate as a collective unit. In some embodiments, one or more UAVs in the fleet may operate individually, while two or more UAVs in the fleet may be connected to one another. In such embodiments, the individual UAVs and the connected UAVs may together comprise the fleet.
