摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for a fleet of three or more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), where each UAV of the fleet of UAVs comprise a respective flight control computer (FCC); at least one computing device at a ground control station, where each computing device is in communication with each FCC, and where each computing device is associated with at least one operator; where the fleet of UAVs above the threshold altitude are in communication with the first computing device monitored by at least one operator such that a ratio of operators to UAVs above the threshold altitude exceeds a 1:1 ratio; and where the first UAV below the threshold altitude is in communication with the second computing device monitored by at least one operator such that a ratio of operators to UAVs below the threshold altitude does not exceed the 1:1 ratio.

摘要: Described are example systems and methods for facilitating management of flight planning and operations for unmanned vehicles, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The described systems and methods can facilitate generation of a risk-based model that incorporates the risk presented by certain flight paths as well as the risk of collisions between concurrently operating vehicles. The described systems and methods can also facilitate determining a lowest relative total risk for planned concurrent operations. The total risk can also be compared against a risk threshold to determine whether the total risk associated with the planned operations is within an acceptable range.

摘要: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) uses a first baseband processor to establish a first communication link with a ground station of a wireless network and a second baseband processor that establishes a second communication link with a user device. Communication data is routed between the user device and the core network through the first communication link and the second communication link. The UAV receives control commands from a ground-based UAV controller that direct the UAV to travel according to a flight trajectory that is proximate to the user device.

摘要: A method comprising receiving a plurality of images of a scene captured by at least one drone; identifying features within the plurality of images; identifying similar images of the plurality of images based on the features identified within the plurality of images; comparing the similar images based on the features identified within the similar images to determine a proportion of features shared by the similar images; selecting a subset of the plurality of images that have a proportion of shared features that meets a predetermined range; generating a first 3D model of the scene from the subset of images using a first 3D model building algorithm; generating a second 3D model of the scene from the subset of images using a second 3D model building algorithm; computing errors for the first and second 3D models; and selecting as the model of the scene the first or second 3D model.

摘要: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for ensuring stability in the arrangement of a pile of packages delivered by drones. Upon receipt of package information concerning packages to be delivered by multiple drones at the same destination within a duration of time, simulations are performed of stacking the packages using different approaches based on the received package information. Based on simulating the various ways of stacking the packages to be delivered at the destination, the optimal arrangement of stacking the packages at the destination in a particular order and in a particular manner by the drones within the duration of time that maximizes the stability in the resulting arrangement of the pile of packages is identified. The drones scheduled to deliver the packages to such a destination are then instructed to deliver such packages to the destination in such a particular order and in such a particular manner.

After evaluating whether two aircraft may possibly be paired together in a formation for fuel savings, the process determines new flight plans for both aircraft, allowing the second aircraft to save fuel by flying behind the first aircraft so that the second aircraft utilizes the energy of the wake vortices generated by the first aircraft. Based on the new flight plan, the process determines if there is a net trip fuel savings for the pair.
