摘要: The invention provides a method and apparatus for watermarking a document, the method comprising: associating the document with an identification number; generating (70) a first set of numbers using a seed for the number generation comprising or derived from the identification number; applying a transform (62) to at least a portion of an image of the document to form a transform of the image; defining a second set of numbers comprising transform coefficients from the transform of the image; forming a modified second set of numbers based on the first set and the second set; substituting the modified second set for the second set in the transform of the image to form a modified transform (72); and applying an inverse (74) of the transform to the modified transform to thereby produce a modified image of the document; whereby the modified image of the document or an output of the modified image constitutes the watermarked document.

摘要: A method that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, mapping image pixels of media content to a first portion of display pixels of a display to create mapped pairs having a mapped image pixel and a mapped display pixel, where the display has at least one of a greater number of horizontal or vertical pixels than the media content and for each mapped pair, one or more values associated with the mapped image pixel are assigned to the mapped display pixel, assigning blended mapped values to unmapped display pixels in a second portion of the display pixels, where, for each unmapped display pixel, the blended mapped value is a statistical compilation of one or more values assigned to the mapped display pixels that are adjacent to the unmapped display pixels, and presenting the mapped and unmapped display pixels at the display. The method includes other embodiments.

摘要: Sending apparatus, receiving apparatus, sending method, receiving method and sending and receiving system for supporting application based MMS. The body of an incremental MMS includes a dynamic data section of MMS, a static data indicator associated with the MMS, and a link tag between indicated static data and the dynamic data. The amount of the message quantity transmitted may be reduced because the changed section of the incremental MMS is sent directly via short message channel in dynamic data mode. In turn, the incremental MMS may be sent via short message channel instead of MMS channel due to the reduction of transmitted message, which further reduces the communication cost.

摘要: Messages directed to a mobile device are selectively routed to message servers based upon the capabilities of a network to which the mobile device is connected. According to an illustrative method disclosed herein, a network connectivity server receives a network identifier from the mobile device, the network connectivity server receives a request for routing instructions for the message, and the network connectivity server determines if the network identified by the network identifier is capable of delivering the message. The network connectivity server then instructs the message server to route the message according to a standard delivery method for a message type of the message or to a message conversion server computer based upon the determination. The message conversion server computer converts the message into a new message type that the network is capable of delivering to the mobile device.

摘要: A system for a mobile wireless device to receive and display a video stream while preventing overflow or starvation of its receive buffer by requesting changes to the video streaming or encoding rates and by controlling the video playback frame rate. The current receive buffer level is used to make comparisons with several thresholds, the results of which are used to trigger actions. If the current receive buffer level has risen above a start level, then playback of the video can begin. If the current receive buffer level rises above an early detection threshold, then the video streaming device is requested to slow its streaming rate. If the current receive buffer level rises above a high level threshold, then the video streaming device is requested to stop streaming the video. If the current receive buffer level drops below a low level threshold, then the playback frame rate is slowed.

摘要: Wireless network nodes are configured to transmit a request to update the quality of service associated with an existing radio access bearer. In response to the request, the radio access bearer is updated without tearing down the established radio access bearer. Some applications can be associated with one or more quality of service indicia, so that as service demands change in use of a single application, requests for quality of service updates can be transmitted by, for example, a mobile station or other network nodes. Updates can be initiated by other user equipment or by network nodes such as gateway GPRS support nodes. Service interruptions can be reduced by preserving a radio access bearer (RAB), which is particularly useful for a stationary mobile station that continues to communicate with the same serving GPRS support node.
