摘要: A transparent porous SiO2 coating for a transparent substrate material, for example polycarbonate, has advantageous antireflective properties. The coating is produced by a sol-gel process, at least one component which causes porosity being present during at least part of the sol-gel process and being removed and/or destroyed after the sol-gel process has ended. The at least one component which causes porosity is a polymer, the average molar mass of the polymer being preferably =5000 Da to =50 000 Da, more preferably =10 000 Da to =20 000 Da.

摘要: The present disclosure may provide a mixture for use in forming a transparent coating including a silicon alkoxide precursor and an organic polymer. The silicon alkoxide precursor may have a pH level between 1 and 4. The organic polymer may have an average molecular weight between 5,000 and 50,000 Da. The mixture may include 35% to 65% organic polymer by volume. The organic polymer may be removed from the mixture after application leaving a resultant transparent coating, wherein: the resultant coating has a porosity of ≧35% to ≦65%; a thickness in the range from ≧95 nm to ≦135 nm; pores having an average diameter from ≧5 nm to ≦50 nm; and a diameter distribution according to a log-norm distribution with a half-width of ≦10 nm.

摘要: A hydrophobic ABS plastics material is formed from an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) plastic feed stock and a silicone additive. The hydrophobic ABS plastics material is used to produce a casing material, and also an electrical device. The hydrophobic ABS plastics material is ideally suited for protecting sensitive electronic components from moisture via a casing.

摘要: A method is provided for producing an electrical insulation paper having a particle composite. The method involves mixing a dispersion of particles in platelet form, a carrier fluid and a functionalizing agent which is distributed in the carrier fluid and has a proportion by mass in the dispersion corresponding to a predetermined mass ratio based on the proportion by mass of the particles. The dispersion is sedimented, such that the particles in platelet form are arranged in essentially plane-parallel layers in the sediment. The carrier fluid is removed from the sediment. Energy is introduced into the sediment to overcome the activation energy of that chemical reaction of the functionalizing agent with the particles which forms the particle composite from the sediment with coupling of the particles via the functionalizing agent. The mass ratio is predetermined such that the particle composite has a porous structure. The insulation paper is thereby produced.
