    摘要: Provided is a squeezable oriented polypropylene adhesive film that can be formed into a label comprising at least one core layer sandwiched between at least two skin layers, the layers comprising: a core layer comprising a polypropylene and within the range of from 20 wt % to 50 wt %, by weight of the materials in the core layer, of a propylene-α-olefin elastomer having within the range of from 5 wt % to 25 wt % α-olefin derived units, by weight of the elastomer; a printable skin layer comprising within the range of from 60 wt % to 100 wt %, by weight of the materials in the printable skin layer, or an α-olefin copolymer comprising at least 30 wt % ethylene; and an adhesive-accepting skin layer comprising within the range of from 60 wt % to 100 wt %, by weight of the materials in the adhesive-accepting skin layer, of a polypropylene.

In certain embodiments, the first and second LLDPEs are produced by a metallocene-catalyzed reaction. In yet another embodiment, the combined molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of the first and second LLDPEs is greater than 4.0.

    摘要: The invention discloses an ink-based-image-bearing substrate. This substrate includes a coextruded thermoplastic film having at least one layer made from a polymer derived from polypropylene and another layer made from an acidic functional group-bearing polymer. The layer which includes the polymer derived from the polypropylene is oriented in at least the machine direction. The layer which includes the acidic function group-bearing polymer is the print-receiving layer. The acidic functional group bearing-polymer is preferably ethylene-acrylic acid or ethylene-methacrylic acid, and the acidic functional group-bearing polymer-containing layer has a softening point in a range of 180° to 220° F. Liquid toner ink is electrostatically printed on the layer which includes the acidic functional group-bearing polymer. Additionally, the invention includes a method for providing the ink-based-image-bearing substrate.
