摘要: A monitoring and warning system for firefighters and other people exposed to similar hazards includes mutiple monitoring, warning and control devices (1, 9 through 16) and a telemetric module (17) for transmitting information data to a base station and for receiving commands. All units of the system are connected seperately to a common—open-type or closed-type—bus (8) and configured either for master-slave or for master-master operation. The system operates on simple and efficient connections, more units can be added easily, it is fast and faultless and can also be used in areas subject to explosion hazards.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for measuring the coagulation characteristics of a test liquid (1), in particular of a blood sample, is provided. According to the present invention standardized geometrical dimensions of a cup (2) and a respective pin (3) are modified for receiving maximum elasticity signal per volume test liquid without resulting in irreversible inelastic effects. In particular, the test liquid gap (8) between the cup (2) and the pin (3) is reduced, the diameter of the cup (2) and the pin (3) are increased and/or the geometry of test liquid accommodating portions (7; 10; 10′) are optimized for increasing the ratio between signal amplitude and a needed amount of test liquid (1) compared to standardized equipment.

摘要: A warning device comprised of an electrochemical cell which detects the concentration of toxic gas that is passing through a housing holding the cell to a face mask. The cell produces a signal corresponding to the concentration level of toxic gas present. The signal is received by a threshold switch which is set to produce a signal only when a signal from the cell equals or exceeds a predetermined level. The signal from the threshold switch activates a visual signal means and acoustical signal means to indicate that a gas filter, connected to the warning device, is exhausted.
