Abstract: The disclosure relates to a particulate filter for the treatment of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, wherein the particulate filter comprises a catalyst material layer comprising at least one platinum group metal, and the average loading of platinum group metal in the region which is around the whole central axis of the particulate filter and accounts for 20 to 70 vol. % of the total volume of the particulate filter, is 1.1 to 10 times the average loading of platinum group metal in the remaining part of the particulate filter. The particulate filter according to the present invention has a centralized-distributed PGM in the radial direction, shows excellent HC, NOx, and CO conversions and low backpressure.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a three-way conversion (TWC) catalyst composition, and a catalyst article comprising such a catalyst composition suitable for at least partial conversion of gaseous hydrocarbons (HCs), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx). Generally, the catalyst article includes a catalyst substrate having a plurality of channels adapted for gas flow, each channel having a wall surface and a catalytic coating on the surfaces or inside the pores of the wall. The catalytic coating generally includes a first washcoat with a platinum group metal (PGM) component and a first refractory metal oxide support and a second washcoat having a plurality of palladium-rhodium nanoparticles and a second refractory metal oxide support.

Abstract: Provided are automotive catalyst composites having a catalytic material on a carrier, wherein the catalytic material comprises at least two layers. The first layer is deposited directly on the carrier and comprises a first palladium component supported on a first refractory metal oxide component, a first oxygen storage component, or a combination thereof. The second layer is deposited on top of the first layer and comprises a rhodium component supported on a second refractory metal oxide component and a second palladium component supported on a second oxygen storage component, a third refractory metal oxide component or a combination thereof. Generally these catalyst composites are used as three-way conversion (TWC) catalysts. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.

The present invention also provides a catalytic article comprising the catalyst composition and its preparation.
