摘要: A flange seal has a support body of a tough, hard material, and a sealing element of a rubbery-elastic material, that are interconnected in a single piece, the sealing element having a sealing edge that can be exposed to a medium to be sealed in a chamber to be sealed. In the state resulting from manufacture, the sealing element has cavities in the region of the sealing edge, which cavities vary in volume during use of the flange seal as intended.
