摘要: A process for bonding at least two substrates with a hotmelt adhesive using microwave energy is provided. The process includes applying a microwave-activatable primer to a least one of the substrates and applying a hotmelt adhesive to a least one of the substrates. The method also includes pressing the substrates together so that the microwave-activatable primer and the hot melt adhesive are between the substrates, and exposing at least the microwave-activatable primer to microwaves to heat the hotmelt adhesive. The present invention also provides a process for spraying a hot melt adhesive onto a substrate where the hot melt adhesive includes nanoparticles having ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, superparamagnetic or piezoelectric properties.

摘要: The reversible separation of bonded joints by applying alternating electromagnetic fields is described. The bonded joint consists of at least one primer layer which contains nanoscale particles which have ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, superparamagnetic or piezoelectric properties. As a result of the alternating electromagnetic fields, large amounts of localised heat are produced in the primer layer of the bonded joint. This localised heat input causes, in the case of adjacent thermoplastic adhesive layers, softening of the thermoplastic binder. If thermoset adhesives are adjacent to the boundary layer of the primer, then the cross-linked structure in the binder matrix is broken up due to the high degree of localised warming. In both cases quasi-adhesive substrate separation with a low energy input is enabled as a result of the high localised warming of the boundary layer.

摘要: A process for heating particle filled adhesive compositions by using an electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic alternating field. Nanoscale particles are employed having ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, superparamagnetic or piezoelectric properties. These particles more efficiently convert the electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic input into heat to cure the adhesive composition. With this process not only is the rate of cure accelerated but the various properties of the adhesive are less likely to be adversely affected.

摘要: The invention on hand refers to diseases associated with abnormal protein structures, including Alzheimer's disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob's disease, BSE and other prion-associated diseases. It is the task of the invention on hand to provide new active agents preventing the formation of amyloid plaques and to dissolve existing plaques, such agents being convenient for therapy, diagnosis and prophylaxis of diseases that are associated with abnormal protein structures. This task is performed in terms of the current invention by heterocyclic or aromatic agents with a rigid structure and a donor-acceptor-donor pattern (DAD), the latter being formed by donors and acceptors of hydrogen bridge linkages which comply with the β-sheet structure of the peptide or protein and thus fit as binding partners. The heterocyclic or aromatic agents are available at least as dimers. They recognise peptides and proteins with a β-sheet structure, form stable complexes with them and inhibit their aggregation to β-amyloid plaques. Furthermore, the new active agents are able to dissolve β-amyloid plaques that already exist. Another task of the current invention is to provide methods for the synthesis of said heterocyclic or aromatic compounds.
