摘要： A media processing system for limiting ringing in a filter output. A detection filter receives a media signal and generates a detection signal. The detection signal has a constant value over sections of the media signal having a consistent DC bias. The value of the detection signal changes when the DC bias of the media signal changes. The control module receives the detection signal and determines if the media signal may result in ringing based on the detection signal. If it is determined the media signal may result in ringing, a smoothing filter is applied to the media signal.

摘要： Systems and methods for filtering to comply with copy-protection regulations set forth for HDTV signals by the Motion Picture Association of America (“MPAA”) are presented. A copy-protection filter constrains the resolution of the HDTV signal when copy-protection bits are present in a video signal. The copy-protection filter may be placed in an analog data stream before the video signal is converted from a digital to an analog signal. A second copy-protection filter is optionally placed in a digital data stream. The copy-protection filter may be combined with other filters in a video encoder, or with a scaler before the input video data stream enters a compositor.

摘要： Systems and methods for filtering to comply with copy-protection regulations set forth for HDTV signals by the MPAA are presented. A TVOC includes the functionality necessary to receive and display television signals in a variety of input and output formats. A TVOC can be used in set-top boxes for cable and satellite television, or directly within a television. All functionality provided can be provided on a single integrated circuit. TVOC includes a data transport module, an IF demodulator, a digital audio engine, an analog audio engine, a digital video engine, and an analog video engine. The TVOC also includes three sets of interfaces including output interfaces, control interfaces and ancillary interfaces. Further features and embodiments provide enhanced functionality and increased efficiencies.

摘要： Methods and systems for determining fields in a video signal are disclosed. Historic field ID values for a received video signal may be stored and subsequently utilized by a summer and/or a correlator in order to estimate a field ID value for a current field. The summer may sum all historic field ID values and, if the sum is within a determined range, for example, the field ID value for a current field may be estimated based on the sum of the historic field ID values. If the sum is not within the determined range, for example, the historic field ID values may be correlated with an expected field ID value or with an inverted expected field ID value. The correlation may then be utilized to estimate the field ID value for the current field.
