Abstract:
System and method for scheduling a meeting room includes accepting information defining a meeting type, which is associated with at least one preset resources. The method further includes displaying at least one preset parameter based on the meeting type including email address of attendees, receiving preset information from the at least one displayed preset parameter, automatically identifying and reserving a first room that is associated with a maximum capacity number by communicating with a scheduling server the availability of the at least one preset resources based on the received preset information, notifying the organizer of the first room, detecting a number of attendees physically presence in the first room during an attendance time period by utilizing at least one sensor, and sending at least one command to control at least one of the associated preset resources in response to a start time and end time.
Abstract:
A device and method for simultaneously capturing a content video stream comprising video of content presented during a live presentation, a content audio stream comprising audio accompanying the presented content, a presenter video stream comprising video of the presenter recorded via a video camera, and a presenter audio stream comprising audio of the presenter recorded via a microphone. The content audio stream and the presenter audio stream are mixed into a combined content and presenter audio stream, the content video stream is combined with the presenter video stream into a combined content and presenter video stream, and the combined content and presenter audio stream and the combined content and presenter video stream are encoded into a combined AV data stream. The combined AV data stream is distributed via one or more output channels, for example to a digital sink via an HDMI connection.
Abstract:
A system includes at least one processor, a memory, at least one data storage device, at least one communication interface, and at least one program of instructions stored in the memory and executable in the processor. The program of instructions accepts information defining a presentation type of meeting, the presentation type of meeting being associated with preset resources including a presentation capture device, displays at least one presentation preset parameter based on the presentation type of meeting, receives presentation preset information from the at least one displayed presentation preset parameter, the presentation preset information including a start time, an end time, and shared documentation, automatically determines a room by communicating with a scheduling server the availability of the preset resources based on the received presentation preset information, notify a conference initiator of the room, and sends at least one command to control at least one of the associated preset resources in response to the start time and the end time. The at least one presentation preset parameter includes a recording profile, the presentation preset information includes a preconfigured recording profile, the preconfigured recording profile includes at least one AV workflow function, the at least one AV workflow function includes an encoding profile, and the encoding profile includes an audio CODEC preset parameter, an audio channels preset parameter, a sampling frequency preset parameter and an audio bitrate preset parameter.
Abstract:
A cable management hub for use in providing an interface between one or more pieces of audio-visual presentation equipment and a laptop. The cable management hub comprises a first portion that includes one or more cables that mate with respective cables from the laptop. The cable management hub further includes one or more buttons, each of which is configured to generate an electrical signal when pressed by a user that indicates a desire by the user to transfer control of the audio-visual presentation equipment from a previous user, if one exists, to the user that pressed the button. If no one had control, then the user that presses the button would gain control of the audio-visual equipment. The cable management hub further includes one or more illuminated indicators configured to illuminate in a manner indicative of a received status condition signal.
Abstract:
A device and method for simultaneously capturing a combination of content video, content audio, presenter video and presenter audio, as well as distributing a combination of content video, content audio, presenter video and presenter audio to a digital sink via an HDMI connection. Video sources are automatically routed to the digital sink depending on the source configuration.
Abstract:
A system in which a portable electronic device communicates with an external device to determine a location. Upon determining its location, the portable electronic device transmits this information as well as identifying information to a control processor. The control processor controls one or more controllable devices according to the location and identifying information. The portable electronic device may determine the location via NFC tag or via one or more RF beacons transmitting information according to the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol.
Abstract:
Controlling the power state of an internet protocol (IP) network display device using the cumulative connection status of one or more client devices to presentation a gateway. The first client device to connect to the presentation gateway causes it to transmit an instruction over the IP Network to the display device to turn-on. When the last of the client connections to the presentation gateway has terminated, the presentation gateway transmits either a sleep or power-down instruction over the IP network to the display device, optionally, after a countdown timer expires.
Abstract:
A switcher device comprises a multiplexer coupled in-between at least one input and output cards. The multiplexer detects the presence of an event signal from an activated sink. In response to the detection of the event signal, a processor changes an address of an HDCP receiver from a first address to a second address for enabling the at least one source to authenticate with the input card and enabling the output card to authenticate with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption. In response to the non-detection of the event signal, the processor changes the address of an HDCP receiver from the second address to the first address for disabling the at least one source from initiating a first authentication with the input card, therefore the output card also does not attempt to initiate a second authentication with the at least one sink for security protocol encryption.
Abstract:
A building management system and method that determines space utilization in a building. The building management system comprises room utilization sensors, such as occupancy sensors, a gateway that gathers raw occupancy data records from the occupancy sensors, and at least one processor. Each raw occupancy data record comprises an occupancy state associated with a timestamp. The processor is configured for normalizing the raw occupancy data records into normalized occupancy data records each comprising a time segment and an occupancy state indicating whether for a given time segment a room is occupied. The processor is further configured for structuring the normalized occupancy data records by associating each normalized occupancy data record with a space node corresponding to a room in the building from where the raw occupancy data record was collected and associating each space node with a set of tags, each tag defining a single state from a plurality of states. The processor may further receive a selection of a tag from a user interface, split the normalized occupancy data records along the selected tag's states into sets of normalized occupancy data records, for each split set of occupancy data records, calculate at least one occupancy rate, and display a visualization of space utilization of the building comprising a comparison of the occupancy rates of the selected tag's states.
