Abstract: A battery packaging material of a first aspect identifiable from the outside has exceptional moldability, insulating properties, and reduced external appearance defects and seal defects. A battery packaging material of the second aspect identifiable has post-molding concealment and adhesion properties, exceptional electrolyte resistance and surface insulating properties. The battery packaging material of the first aspect includes a laminate of at least a base material, adhesive, metal and sealant layers sequentially laminated, at least one of the base material and adhesive layers includes a dye. The battery packaging material of the second aspect includes a laminate of at least a decorative, base material, metal and sealant layers sequentially laminated; the decorative layer has at least a first and second decorative layers from the base material layer side. The decorative layer includes coloring and matting agents. The resin ratio is at least 60% by mass for the first and second decorative layers.

In the battery packaging material, which comprises a laminate body that includes at least a coating layer, a substrate layer, an adhesive layer, a barrier layer, and a sealant layer, in that order, the use of a resin composition containing a heat-curable resin and a curing accelerator as the coating layer enables the formation of a coating layer that can be cured in a short time and contributes to electrolyte liquid, etc., resistance.

This packaging material for batteries is able to have excellent resistance to electrolyte solution by disposing an acid-reactive resin layer containing an acid curable resin between the adhesive layer and the metal foil layer and/or between the metal foil layer and the sealant layer.

Abstract: A packaging material for a cell including a laminated article having at least a coating layer, a barrier layer, and a sealant layer in the stated order, wherein: the coating layer has at least three layers including a first, second and third coating layer, and is disposed so that the first coating layer is positioned as the outermost layer and the third coating layer is positioned on the barrier-layer-side; and the first coating layer, the second coating layer, and the third coating layer are formed from a cured product of a resin composition containing a heat-curing resin and a curing accelerator so as to sufficiently exhibit a specific hardness, whereby the thickness can be reduced, exceptional chemical resistance, moldability, and inter-layer adhesion between the barrier layer and the coating layer can be obtained, and the lead time can be reduced to enable an improvement in production efficiency.

Abstract: A packaging material for batteries, which is formed of a laminate that sequentially includes a base layer, an adhesive layer, a barrier layer and a sealant layer in this order. By having the adhesive layer formed of a cured product of a resin composition that contains a thermosetting resin and (A) a curing accelerator and an elastomer resin or (B) reactive resin beads, the adhesive layer arranged between the base layer and the barrier layer can be cured in a short time, thereby reducing the lead time. In addition, by providing the adhesive layer between the base layer and the barrier layer, the adhesion strength between the base layer and the barrier layer is increased and excellent formability can be achieved.

Abstract: In a packaging material for a battery constituted by a laminate body having at least a base material layer, a bonding layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer in this order, the bonding layer satisfies at least two of the following properties (1) to (3). (1) The hardness is 20 to 115 MPa when an indenter is pressed into the bonding layer by 5 μm from the cross-section of the laminate body using a nano-indenter. (2) The peak temperature is 10 to 60° C. for the loss modulus peak that is acquired when a dynamic viscoelasticity is measured at a frequency of 1 Hz for the bonding layer. (3) IH/IM is 0.15 to 1.5, where an integral value of peak areas existing in 2800 to 3000 cm−1 is defined as IM, and an integral value of peak areas existing in 3100 to 3500 cm−1 is defined as IH.
