摘要: According to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a coated film may be made by a process that may include applying an uncured polyurethane precursor between a polyolefin film and a release liner such that a first surface of the release liner is in contact with the uncured polyurethane precursor, curing the uncured polyurethane precursor to form a cured polyurethane layer positioned between the polyolefin film and the release liner, and removing the release liner to form the coated film comprising the polyolefin film and the cured polyurethane layer. The first surface of the release liner may have an optical finish. The curing may impart an optical finish to the cured polyurethane layer substantially similar to the optical finish of the first surface of the release liner.

摘要: A two-component solventless polyurethane adhesive composition including (A) at least one isocyanate component and (B) at least one polyol component. The isocyanate component (A) comprises an isocyanate prepolymer that is the reaction product of (Ai) a polyisocyanate and (Aii) an isocyanate-reactive component; wherein the isocyanate-reactive component comprises (Aiia) at least one polyol having a functionality greater than two, (Aiib) at least one aromatic polyester polyol having a functionality of greater than two, and (Aiic) at least one hydrophobic polyol. The polyol component (B) comprises (Bi) at least one polyether polyol having a functionality greater than two, (Bii) at least one aromatic polyester polyol transesterified with a natural oil, and (Biii) at least one phosphate ester polyol. A method for forming a laminate is also disclosed, the method comprising the steps of: (I) mixing the above reactants (components (A) and (B)) to form a solventless adhesive composition, (II) applying a layer of the solventless adhesive composition to a surface of a first substrate, (III) bringing the layer of the solventless adhesive composition on the first substrate into contact with a surface of a second substrate to form a laminate, and (IV) curing the solventless adhesive composition. A laminate comprising the above solventless adhesive composition is also disclosed.

摘要: The present invention provides coated films and packages formed from such films. In one aspect, a coated film comprises (a) a film comprising (i) a first layer comprising from 70 to 100 percent by weight of a linear low density polyethylene having a density less than 0.930 g/cm3 and a peak melting point of less than 126° C.; (ii) a second layer comprising from 60 to 100 percent by weight polyethylene having a density of 0.905 to 0.970 g/cm3 and a peak melting point in the range of 100° C. to 135° C.; and (iii) at least one inner layer between the first layer and the second layer comprising from 40 to 100 percent by weight of a high density polyethylene having a density from 0.930 to 0.970 g/cm3and a peak melting point in the range of 120° C. to 135° C.; and (b) a coating on an outer surface of the second layer of the film comprising polyurethane. In another aspect, the coated film comprises a monolayer comprising from 70 to 100 percent by weight of a polyethylene having a density less than 0.930 g/cm3, a melt index (I2) of less than 2.0 g/10 minutes and a peak melting point of less than 126° C., and a coating on an outer surface of the film comprising polyurethane In some embodiments, the coated film is thermally resistant under the sealing conditions of ASTM 1921-98 over a temperature range of 80° C. to 180° C., and/or has a gloss of at least 70 units at 60°.

摘要: According to one or more embodiments disclosed herein, a coated film may include a polyolefin film and a coating. The polyolefin film may include an ethylene-based polymer. The coating may include an outer surface and an internal surface. The internal surface may be in contact with the polyolefin film. The coating may include polyurethane. The outer surface of the coating may be an outer surface of the coated film. At least a portion of a surface of the coated film that includes the coating may have a gloss of from 40 units to 100 units at 60° or a matte finish of 15 units to 30 units at 85°. The polyurethane may be formed from an isocyanate component having an isocyanate (NCO) content greater than 10%.
