Abstract:
PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF COPOLYMERS OF VINYLTRIALKOXYLSILANES WITH OTHER SUITABLE MONOMERS COMPRISING CONTACTING A VINYLTRI-TERT-ALKOXY SILANE HAVING THE FORMULA:
CH2=CH-SI(-O-R3)(-O-R2)-O-R1
WHEREIN R1, R2 AND R3 EACH REPRESENT TERTIARY ALKYL OF THE FORMULA:
A-C(-B)-D
WHEREIN A, B AND D ARE EACH ALKYL, WITH ANOTHER MONOMEER COPOLYMERIZABLE THEREWITH UNDER POLYMERIZATION CONDTIONS. THE RESULTANT NOVEL COPOLYMERS ARE FREE OF CROSSLINKING, ARE CHARACTERIZED BY SI-C BONDS WHICH ARE INTERCONNECTED BY C-C BOUNDS. THEY ARE THERMOPLASTIC AND CAN BE EASILY WORKED IN EXTRUDERS, DEEP DRAWING MACHINES, ROLLING MILLS, ETC.
Abstract:
FLAME RETARDANTS FOR INCORPORATION INTO HIGH ORGANIC POLYMERS COMPRISING PRODUCTS OBTAINED BY A DIELS-ALDER SYNTHESIS FROM HEXACHLOROCYCLOPENTADINE AND A VINYL, ALLYL OR METHALLYL ESTER OR THE CORRESPONDING MIXED ESTERS OF BIVALENT TO TETRAVALENT CARBOXYLIC ACIDS AND THE RESULTANT IMPROVED POLYMER PRODUCTS.
Abstract:
A method for adhering an organic substance to a metallic or inorganic oxidic substance which comprises disposing between said organic substance and said metallic or inorganic oxidic substance a phosphorus organosilane of the general formula
WHEREIN EACH R is independently a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic radical, each A is a bivalent alkylene or arylene radical or a bivalent oxyalkylene or oxyarylene radical joined by its oxygen to the phosphorus atom, m, n, p and x are each values of 0 or 1, B is either a bivalent oxygen radical, an -NHradical, an -NR- radical or an -S- radical when p is equal to 1 and y is equal to 1 to 20.
